Blogcatalog and MyBlogLog both have their pluses and minuses. My question to you is wouldn't you rather have the conversations about you and your blog happening here instead of there? Both of these blog communities are more interested in their own traffic than yours in my humble opinion. However, what other choices do we have right?

Take care.

My blog is fairly young in blog years so I haven't seen much traffic from blogcatalog or any source for that matter. I still plug away though trying to get my name out there, traffic seems to be like a snowball, just got to get it rolling and it will build.

Hi!

I agree with you about the use of BlogCatalog. It's very good to find people with the same interest and build your friend list on other social network with people you actually know more than just their pictures!

I found out that networking with people who have blog gives you more content to talk about and it makes the discussion more interesting.

BlogCatalog is the site to be, like you explained it so well. I really like the directory tool so you can find quality blogs on subjects you are interested in instead of staying in your niche. People have many interest.

Professional bloggers always recommand to pick only one topic for your blog but then, it's cool to leave comments to other people's blog about what you like!

Have a great day! I look forward to your other articles!

I prefer to stick with Blogcatalog. Most of the users from Blogcatalog are also in Mybloglog. So, it is better to keep to one of the best.
