Bought New Web Cam: Can Videos Create Traffic?

I just ordered a new webcam because my old webcam was not reaching my standards anymore. I even posted about it on my new blog by the way. But in any case the reason why I wanted a new camera is mainly I want to do a new case study on generating traffic by videos and/or audio. Is it really possible to gain 1000 unique visitors after your first video? your first audio?

In the past I have read about podcasting and creating traffic by videos. It never really hit me until yesterday when I was watching some videos myself and I actually went to these authors websites. I was drawn to their websites you can say. I wanted to know more and find out about what they are talking about. To me I think the term is video marketing.

Using video marketing to drive traffic to your web site is an online marketing strategy. Internet marketers are beginning to embrace this new marketing strategy, with much success. As I myself will begin to test and see if this is really a case. Having a traditional website only allows you to reach those people who first find your website. However, combining video, social networking and some simple video marketing techniques can drive hordes of qualified visitors to your website.

Now, Google and other search engines are beginning to give videos hosts on sites like YouTube preferential search engine ranking, it’s quite possible your video could end up on the first page of search results for your targeted key phrase. This is incredibly powerful and not to be overlooked, as this is what will make your video marketing efforts well worth the time you invest in them.

Since I have ordered my new web cam, oh by the way its the Creative Live! Cam Optia AF. I will be creating a small case study for my new blog in generating traffic. Once I see that I have sustained a good amount of traffic I will attempt o make one for this blog. Also, an update on my traffic with my new blog I am receiving a consistent flow of traffic from my strategies that I have explained in my blog startup system. Now, once I receive the camera (which I should received today, I ordered it yesterday) I will definitely experiment over the weekend and post it over the weekend on you tube. I will even create a new user name for business purposes.

BUT, if this becomes successful I will be creating a section on my blog for video. I want the similar layout and theme as of Joel Comm.

I believe the spread of internet video is because we are entering a phase of the internet of Web 2.0. We want to get entertained, even Google is providing video ads within their Adsense campaigns. Music sites and Videos sites are springing up faster than ever because they want a piece of this market. Web 2.0 is engaging within the internet, Netflix has even provided streaming movie downloads to compete with BlockBuster.

To us we use the internet to be entertained, finding reading the source of information is just too much for use. I personally would rather here it on audio or watch a video describing a technique, since most of us learn by sight and not reading. Reading only gives us understanding and not vision of the tactics or strategies that can be used. We are becoming lazy, but we want things fast and we want it now!

So I will try to do a video for my new blog and see if traffic is soaring and if it does then another will be made. I will keep you readers up to date on how my video progress is going! But I would like to take a poll – below I want to know how many of you use videos to find information or just be entertained, just leave a comment below.
