> Max
I had to manually turn the image into a jpg since entrecard only accepts jpgs, they do not do the conversion at all. I actually captured a still image of the gif in photoshop and kept the high quality - once uploaded the image lost its texture and quality.

Entrecard may work - but would you spend all your time dropping cards and earning credits? times is precious and entrecard uses a lot of your valuable time just editing the dashboard, approving and rejecting and dropping

Well, GIF files are actually worse in quality, they just have the ability for animation.
JPEG is much better for quality, I think it's some type of tech problemo for Ian. Maybe he can use Photoshop.

PS. why is the image always converted to a jpeg? I'd have thought leaving it open to gif (even png) files would have been a plus.

I don't think it's really just Ian's fault for having his image converted, when it could very well be left in the same format. Comes under user satisfaction doesn't it?

What type of control mechanisms does the system have?

I mean, how much control does a user have over things like who is allowed to attempt a drop in the first place? Basically, spam / flood prevention techniques...

First thing,

A gif will never be converted to jpeg and keep its high image. You can do it the other way around. So don't blame this on anyone but yourself.

Second, EntreCard does work very well if you actually use it.

My 2 cents. BTW, how did you get your BLOG to ping my One Buck Wiki under your blog's iframes? That was clever way to bring traffic to your site.
