Ever since the guest post on ShoeMoney, I have been getting emails on how to get targeted traffic from Craigslist without being flagged or a deeper explanation. It seems there are issues with readers that maybe didn’t understand my post or maybe it was not as descriptive enough, readers were emailing me on how to’s instead of testing or trying the technique themselves to figure it out. Craigslist is not that hard to figure out or use.

Also there seemed to be some readers out there that do not want to do any other work or research on their own. The part about marketing is testing and failing, what works and what doesn’t. Prior to succeeding on getting all my listings on Craigslist was me failing at getting listed.

After several failed attempts I found a way that worked and still works, but it is a simple concept. Well enough of my rambles, since I didn’t email everyone back or just stopped emailing. I decided to go ahead and make a video of what I did. It is a 5 minute tutorial that works and gets listed for everyone to see.

Nice tutorial. I’d be interested as well in hearing about what exact webcam and software you use for your videos?

    Nice job!

Thanks – I was getting piss from all those emails I was getting, a video make everything easier – of course I learned from the best :)

Thanks! I am using a Nikon CoolPix L11 and CamStudio to make my video. I use Windows Movie Maker to edit the videos as well with a PIP plugin to generate the PIP. The web cam I also use on occasion is the Creative Optia AF

Thanks for that video! I didn’t see your original post on ShoeMoney, but now that I’ve seen this I don’t have to :) I have a niche store that I created and I’ve been looking for a way to market it. Again, thanks!

    Hi Ian!

Great tutorial! I have one question. About how many listings do you think one would need to list? I’m sure the more you list, the more traffic you’ll get, but I’m just curious. Care to share how many you put up?

Hey Ian… I saw this video on youtube from your channel. So I figured I’d search for the post here on your website, in order to ask a question… Are you still doing this method?

    Thanks man,

    Jean

currently, no – any questions? hope you enjoy the blog!

Thanks Ian, this the last question I have… When you did this back in 2007 or maybe even in early 2008. Was it worth your time? I saw that you got some decent traffic to it, about 2,000 visitors from your guest post at John Chow… but in terms of it actually bringing in revenue, was it worth your time?

The only reason I ask… is because a friend of mine suggested that I get into craiglist as a form of getting traffic, to a page with a product to sell…. but my initial thoughts are against it.

    Thanks,

    Jean
