Stop Rushing Me about BlogRush!

September 15, 2007 · Print Post · Bookmark post

All day I have been getting emails about a new system called BlogRush. I have been reading all about this at ShoeMoney, JohnChow, Entrepreneurs Journey, etc. So I decided to go a head and just join. You have all probably heard about it from emails and even from all your popular blogs. Since it is everywhere I will not repeat what everyone have already said.

Well I am adding to it since its all over the blogosphere. I did not want to add this to my blog since I think it will destroy the neatness of my blog. In any case I have managed to put it in an area where it is attracting and does not bother the layout too much. I was actually going to create a pop up for this, but I know how annoying they can be.

There are a lot of ways to increase your traffic - but this is the cheapest way to do so. Here is a simple quick video about it.

Here are what others are saying:

From the Creator himself, John Reese:

Our SOLE FOCUS is to continue to work hard to drive even MORE targeted traffic to our members’ sites. That’s it. Because with out that, nothing else matters.

Andy Beard says:

Blogrush is designed to encourage people to promote it with a 10 tier referral program. It hasn’t been specified how the breakdown woks on each tier, but the benefit of viral referrals will be substantial for early adopters.

Darren From ProBlogger says:

My initial impressions of the system is that it’s worth exploring.

While I’m not a fan of traffic exchange programs - this one is a little different because it attempts to promote your blog on relevant blogs.

Vocinno.com says:

Here’s where it gets annoying. In order to generate these views, you have to stick this ugly widget on your page. Obviously, you want to give it as much exposure as possible, while not destroying everything of your design you worked so hard for.

Case Stevens from Affordable Internet Marketing says:

I must say, that adding another widget is a burden for my server. Pages load slower, so I may have to delete some of them. Which will be a difficult decision, since all widgets I use currently bring in traffic.

I will personally check to see the status of this and see how this works out - There are tons of blogs out there that are talking about blogrush why not what everyone is doing and be cool do.

Hey Ian. I was one of the first people to write about BlogRush, and trust me, it spread like wildfire. After I posted it up on my blog, it’s as if the rest of the blogosphere did it at the same time as me. BlogRush should be a success in the future.

    Hi Ian & Sly,
I did post on my blog and also promote to my list but yet to see the result. Do you get any result on this?

I do not know if there is a way to track this - I am trying to see if a link is clicked does it show that it came from the owner’s site? and if so from the widget? Google Analytics can not pick up this since this is a javascript widget - but I did find something interesting that I found on other blogs which will be posted maybe today or tomorrow

I recently developed a free wordpress plugin called “BlogRush Click Maximizer”. By using it you can vastly improve your Click Through Rate.

This allows you to control what you want to display in BlogRush. You can even write alternate - short and catchy title just for BlogRush.

You will have total control of what appears over the BlogRush Network.

    Check it out here:
