> All
it looks like my links are extended into the next month - so let us see what the results are now or will be soon

> Phil
I was more interested in the quality of CTR from websites - do users really click on "featured" sites? I found that more people click on sites that are freely mentioned and not "featured" but it is still beneficial to get some traffic

I think in order to see traffic increase, you need more links.

Dude, NEVER admit that you sell links on your site!!!! ANYONE could report you to Google in seconds.

The problem with Text Link Ads is they make no effort to provide any security for their links. That's the major reason I created Text Link Center.

If you are not sure what I'm talking about, you may want to check out my paid link detector at Text Link Center. We've been able to find any link purchased with Text Link Ads.

The only reason that people still use Text Link Ads is because they don't know just how much Google knows. With the launch of Text Link Center, we hope to change that.

thanks to ian, he has directed me in a new direction. i have fooled around with both my 35K myspace friends and social bookmarking. both have returned very little traffic which means the original way of building is the best. they are long term and build value for your site. ian is quickly becoming a genuine marketer i have been following. he knows his stuff and i would give him two thumbs up all the way around. thanks again!

> sha
that is true - but I mean there should have been better results far greater at least from the direct links. I got more traffic from popular blogs such as 45n5, problogger, johnchow - and most were either comments or archive history of them when they have mentioned my blog on theirs.

I will try that tool - anything in marketing we would have to take with a grain of salt, just have to learn on experience

thanks!

i think one month is pretty much a short time to ascertain traffic 'value'

google updates every 3 month on average, with the latest pagerank the longest of course

i saw this graph where it tells you how many sites of certain pagerank you need to improve your own pagerank. it's a guideline more of fact http://tnx.net/google-pr.php take it with a pinch of salt thou there's some truth to it

good blog, i've subscribed to your RSS :)
