Buyers for the past holiday season doesnâ??t have to think about getting a payday loan in order to get high-end merchandise because of all the holiday sales thatâ??s going on. Consumers are used to seeing items advertised for 70, 75, even up to 90 percent off, and many of them may not be willing to go back to paying full price. At least, thatâ??s what retailers fear. They know shoppers wonâ??t be willing to take out a payday loan to afford something they expect to see on sale later. And, in many cases, consumers just canâ??t afford to pay regular price anymore. So whether itâ??s that consumers are unwilling or unable to buy J. Crew sweaters at full price, the trend is causing merchants to place items on sale before they even hit the shelves.

Thanks Ian

Just come across this and like it. I'm establishing a Blog on Sales Letters and am on the lookout for different approaches. You're right - blog copy would naturally carry greater credibility and the authenticity of 'live' testimonials would be very powerful. Surely there will be a day when the standard Sales Letter has its day and more inventive ways to achieve sales take over.

Good onya, as they say here in Australia
