Although the concept is interesting, how is this any different than instant messaging advertising that has been tried?

Yahoo tried inline adlinks for about a day and so many people complained that they turned it off by default.

There is some potential for Twitter advertising, but I really donâ??t think inline adlinks are the place for it to go.

This is a good idea...I have been doing this for sometime now...not at the mass scale as you have been doing.

But the climax of the post got me thinking....you could have easily kept quit about this maintainence stuff and packaged and sold this as a product like most gurus out there do :) But you did not.....keep up the attitude...

Hi,
Guys, I've already tried all the means to get traffic from Twi... at least all the mentioned, and think it's exhausting itself faster than we can invent something new. :(

twitter does not allow you to verify so there is no problem - just make sure to TURN OFF notifications because if you dont you will definitely get suspended. but I also use another method from a great service =P

I love this but since you need a email for each twitter user name I'm assuming you need to set up a email for each or I'm I missing something?

I have an account that is now following about 26,000 and has almost 3,000 followers. I wrote a script using the Twitter API to auto-follow random people from the public timeline. The API allows me 70 calls per hour, so I just follow one new person per minute. That account isn't for marketing, though. I have a strict policy that I won't spam links out, so that may help in not getting nuked.

Some great ideas here, though. I really need to just get my affiliate marketing going and be serious about making more money online.

I've been doing something similar for a few months now and haven't had anything suspended yet, but I only have maybe 5 accounts out there. I think accounts get suspended when they get a lot of people using the *block* feature within a short period of time. So maybe it was from the friend adder thing, I've never used that before.
