P.S. You should consider adding the "edit comments" plugin on your blog. I always mess up my comments and want to edit them. I forget the name of it, but im sure it in google.

I had a contest on my main blog (Groovy Vegetarian.com) a few months ago, and it went very well. I got new visitors, new subs, and 37 comments. It stands as the most commented post on the blog still. Plus the giveaway was fun, too. (IMO)

I plan on doing another contest soon, ideally it would be cool to do one monthly, but i cant guarantee the time for it.

Also thanxs for choosing me as the winner for OIO, i absolutely LOVE that plugin. I think the only reason more people arent using it, is either because they dont know about it or because its not free. But it is such a great tool for any blog.

Why would anyone want to split their ad money with anyone else? Right.

I believe contests DO generate traffic therefore increasing RSS subscribers, however, keeping all that is the hard part. If the content is good, there should be no problem but if it 'blows', then the buzz will only last for a little but and the chances of readers UNsubscribing increase dramatically.
One thing I do like about these contests where you have to subscribe, is that it leads me to a blog that I wouldn't have read before. I am enjoying this blog and am looking forward to the next contest. I am in DESPERATE need of my own custom template.
Keep up the great work, I agree that plugin is powerful!
