Pay Per View Traffic and My First Attempt
Related Readings |
So there is a lot of talk about Pay Per View traffic. I went a head and did some test. I wanted to wait for Mark’s test on his bulk traffic, but he has been busy with other things. So I took matters into my own hands. I went ahead and bought bulk traffic or pop under traffic. I think this was a network and I kinda knew the basis of PPV. For example the term ‘junk’ traffic comes from networks, similar to banner exchanges or list building tier systems. The term PPV ‘good’ traffic is similar to PPC but in essences you bid on maybe sites or keywords base on meta tags of sites. <- (correct me if I am wrong)
So I decided to start with the traditional PPV bulk traffic. I bought 25,000 pop under traffic from this specific service. The service was ehh. I believe this service was part of several networks, in which I think I got crap traffic. No conversion out of 25k so called unique visitors.

To the left you will see my stats. This a 2 day screen shot that I took for 3 of my profitable digital products that I have. So far I have generated over 1k of hits but no conversions from this.
Now another interesting point with this study is that after the traffic ran out, the next couple days my traffic simple just dropped. There was no continuation of traffic from past users or even link posted anywhere else.
Now the funny part is in Digital Point Forum, a member did an in-depth study of bulk traffic. I have talked about him previously and he has created great scripts and products in the past, Jonathan Leger.
He did a study and his results were very interesting. His results were very similar to mine and goes into more depth than I do. I simply just talked about how I get all these so called unique hits but no conversion.
Well here are Jonathan Leger’s results. You can click on the service and it will give you a break down of how the traffic was organized. Very interesting and powerful information.
But this just showed that this type of traffic is trash. NOW true PPV where you bid on keyword relations or domains maybe a bit more powerful. I will be testing that soon. But these networks in which you join to exchange impressions are very poor. The reason for this is because the other person is also a marketer and knows he will not convert. Why do you think some network exchange systems do not work to its fullest.
What are your thoughts on the PPV and bulk traffic? Interesting to hear what you all have to say about it.

Let’s call “true ppv traffic” what it is please, ad/spyware impressions. Thank you very much.
Yeah…I tried this traffic a while back..it is complete garbage. But I believe it was due to the service I was using.
I have heard of people doing pretty well with PPV, but due to my own personal experiences, I am now deciding to stay away from it.
It is just like Coreg…over-hyped nonsense!
My experience is that it is definitely trash traffic. I stay away from it after I experimented.

Wow!…boy am I glad I found this site, It’s information like this that stops most of us from making those blunderous and biased uninformed buying decisions…..
Thanks for the review.
Wow. That wasn’t my experience with PPV traffic at all. I was actually impressed with it. Maybe you just got screwed by a scam company. Some PPV networks load up 25 or more pages in a pop-under screen at the same time.
So, in essence, the same visitor sees ALL of the sites at the same time. The visitor MIGHT click on one or two of them but generally it won’t be yours. Nevertheless, the company still credits you for the visit…not your RAW stats provided by your hosting company.
Also, another PPV scam are the ones paying people to view and click on ads. They’re pretty common too.
The ones that work?
They focus on 3 major techniques.
1. Redirected traffic. Although one of the least effective out of the 3 because people are looking for an expired site and get yours, you can still get some good conversions. This is because, even though your site was NOT the one they were looking for, they still were looking for a business opportunity or whatever it is you were selling. These campaigns are keyword targeted.
2. REAL PPV traffic. Yes, pop-unders but only they’re sending real people to your site and not letting 50 others view your site (if they even have time to look at all the links) at once. Also keyword targeted.
3. Contextual traffic. By far…the MOST effective of the three. The process is simple. Ever read a blog and found certain words highlighted, hyper-linked and with double underlines underneath them? Yeah, that’s contextual advertising. You can buy them in large blocks or you can buy them by the click (not the best choice). Everyone who clicks on certain words that are highlighted (that are also keyword targeted) the PPV company will send them to your site until you’ve reached your max purchase.
Just because you’ve had a bad experience with a scam company doesn’t make the method ineffective. Try another company.
One more thing…
These companies, the real ones that aren’t scams, are NOT cheap.
You’re not gonna pay $15 and get 100,000 visitors. No. It’s more like $350 or more sometimes for this type of traffic. But they send real people and, if your copy is tight enough (graphics, layout, page load time, etc.) you WILL get conversions with no problem.
I read this blog and thought about ignoring it…but then realized that so many people probably need to hear what I’m saying so that they’ll know how to find a reputable PPV traffic company.
I bought 100,000 impressions from one of these services. While it helped with my Alexa ranking it generated exactly zero dollars in business.
My experience with PPV traffic is half decent and then very good. While you can make a lot of money with PPV you need to know exactly how to do it. You also need a good url Scraper and I think this is really what differentiates those making money with PPV and those who don’t.
What do you guys think of the “Mass PPV Traffic” product that was recently released claiming 9,000 optins or whatever. Does that seem real? I’m going to run some tests. Need to expand traffic. Any ideas for forex marketing would be appreciated. thanks Tony
For something as specialized as forex you might consider blasting an email ad through one of the major operators with a large list such as newsmax.
I’ve had some great success recently with Directcpv. They are comparable to the other networks starting at $0.01 PPV but only require a $100 minimum deposit to start advertising. Check em out at http://www.directcpv.com.
Conversion is up to you, there only job is to get you the traffic, maybe they hype you up by telling you that they can get you conversions, that doesn’t make it a scam. Like all services and products every customer has different results.
That’s why the bottom of the screen always reads
(Results may vary).
I have been using the Mass PPV resource product for increasing traffic to my site now for 2 months I have already seen huge increases in traffic and sales & this method is by far cheaper then PPC and is capable of directing traffic more specific to the product your promoting. 1 thing really important is to use a high quality URL Scraper. Mass PPV offers one with their system and If your serious about using PPV for increased traffic I highly suggest you get it & use it. Manually scraping to get enough sites together to become effective in a PPV Campaign can take weeks or more.
I have been using Mass PPV Traffic for 3 months. I personally think it is an okay product because it can get you traffic but not as low as $0.01 per click many times. I would use Market Samurai instead.
i am thinking of using it to my website. can you give me tips as well as legit companies offering this kind of service.
thanks!
Stay far away as possible from this sort of mal-ware traffic!!! WARNING: When the advertiser discovers the traffic type and THEY WILL (even if your cloaking) you will not get paid.
