Ctrl+C does copy in a windows environment (and I don't mean just MS Windows). But on the command line, if you're running a process and press Ctrl+C, it will terminate it.

To James: hitting Ctrl+C can kill processes too? all i know is that it copies, instead of "killing" or terminating

Hmmmm... To be honest, I opened this post to see what could be so bad that you wanted to "terminate yourself". I've been coding a lot in a Unix environment and I've had to ctrl-c to kill processes.

And then I read that you want to kill your own process :-)
