Yeah, I absolutely agree that traffic is of no use if irrelevant. Especially, when you are using any of the Social Communities for relevant traffic, there are very basic points that must be kept in mind. For example, if you are using Twitter for relevant traffic then, your bio, image, updates, etc. all should talk about your business. If marketing on and traffic from Twitter is your only objective then you should avoid having personal updates through that profile. This may divert focus of followers from the targeted business perspective.

you are right , in affiliate marketing we don’t need just traffic , we need targeted traffic and i add that we should promote the product which we interested about to know how to describe it not only promote something and we don’t know what is it .

You are absolutely correct. You don’t want just any traffic, you need targeted traffic if you want high conversions. I particularly thought your comment on how some keywords convert better than others was very insightful. It’s so true, sometimes just adding one or two more words to your keyword (making it a long-tail keyword) may not drive as much traffic, however, it may make a huge difference upon your conversion rate. This is especially important if you’re doing PPC.

I find that traffic from search engine has a higher chance of clicking Google Adsense than traffic coming from referrals such as other blogs and social networking sites. Are any of you experiencing this?
