So I guess its naive readers, scrollers, visual readers, and not ladies, med and the disabled... lol . I think a combination of scrolling and visual reading is commonly seen in people who are not looking to spend too much time on the page. These can be the toughest to sell to.

Thanks a lot Ian. I had noticed that sales pages as distinct from lead generation pages are so similar. Obviously most of these copywriters also know these tricks. You have educated me at least. I tend to agree that there are all three types of readers. If a person is taking a considered decision on the product, (s)he may read each word of the sales page. otherwise it could be just the large visuals. some may want to read the benefits section closely still others the testimonials. Thanks a lot for this post.

Great Post Ian, that's one tip that I see some people not using on their sales letter. Whenever I write sales copy, I make sure that it stands out for everyone, from bigger order image buttons, to text link order buttons, it all makes a difference.

It's true , you need to keep all 3 types in mind. Because if you don't you
Are losing sales. But need to make it all flow together.

I personally think most readers are either scroller or visual readers. It's hard to find one that actually glue their eyes to my salesletter and go through word-by-word while agreeing with what I'm saying in my newsletters.
