Sometimes Ideas have to Come to an End.

I have a lot of ideas and I know I can get them to work, but sometimes they don’t especially if you put a lot of time and money in it. As you know I released CPA Shuffle, an alternative to adsense, or an adsense version for cpa networks. It was one of my bigger projects and I hope to have taken it further but their were obstacles where I couldn’t pass.

I took this project to Affiliate Summit to show to networks the potential and I had a lot of support. The thing is most networks do not have an API system, uses crappy Direct Track, or APIs that I was not able to manipulate. I tried to talk to the network’s tech department and some are still developing their API or are not able to adjust API modes. In essence I had to stop the development of CPA Shuffle.

I was sad.

roadblock

So with CPA Shuffle stopping development, it is still functional. All current ads are still active and will stay active. I hope to take CPA Shuffle back on its track once networks have more access and versatility to their APIs. I wanted to add multiple networks on CPA Shuffle but due to API limitation only 1 network was added and it has been working perfectly.

Well, this big project definitely taught me a lot on managing and being persistent with my idea and seeing it go live. I am happy I was able to take it out of alpha and put it in beta for others to test and play with.

I also want to thank Jeremy Steele from Nice Nerd who has programmed Cpa Shuffle. We have had repeated meetups together to discuss the plans and ideas of CPA Shuffle. He has done a great job and kept everything on point with me.

But ideas will work and some ideas will not work. There maybe roadblocks that you can not get around or twist and turn to your own benefits. It just kinda sucks that you put tie, effort, money and see it just stop. But that is what business is all about.

I was restricted by the API systems of multiple networks. I have definitely learned a lot from this experience and hope to continue this in the near future as well as grow my other projects in the near future.

But never give up! I still got way too many ideas!

That is disappointing that you are not able to get CPA Shuffle working. I’m sure it would have been a very successful project. Hopefully in time server structure changes and this becomes a viable project again. At least you are not in a position that you were relying on that project. It must be nice to have the luxury to jump from project to project without the risks.

I think that you should be pleased that you gave it a go you never know which ideas are going to work out and which one aren’t but you have to take the rough with the smooth and continue on to make money and try new things.

Yes, the best thing about the whole deal is we can overcome these obstacles. Even if we don’t overcome them we still have more ideas to take place. Diversity is important!

Sir Ian, obstacles are just one of the many stepping stones or may I say, one of the reasons why we want to do more. Obstacles are always there, its for us to find a way around it. If we can’t directly remove it, then lets find another way to pass it by.

Lol yeah, ideas are but ideas. If they work out they are good ideas, if they don’t, they are just time suckers..

Nice stuff indeed! Actually you are right, sometimes ideas have to come to an end. If we are not giving 100% efforts behind it then it becomes an end.

    Hey,

It was pretty unfortunate that cpa development had to be stopped – but there just wasn’t anything else that could be done currently. It was simply too big an API roadblock.

At least there’s always a bright side to even the biggest disappointments – we both learned a ton about project development and collaboration between systems – and I learned more about affiliate marketing than I could have ever imagined. It was a fun and challenging, but rewarding, project to work on.

Guess we’ll have to see what the future holds…

    Thanks,
    Jeremy Steele
