Offers are Dieing… Local Advertising is Increasing

As you may have known my account on both Facebook and Google has been restricted with limitation or just canned. I have expanded my business a lot into many venues and one of them was local advertising for clients. In the beginning of this year I specifically stated that I will be changing my business around and I have already took some steps into that direction.

One of them was taking in local clients. I have had 2 local clients prior and I really didn’t have a good experience with them, just the fact they think they know better. I currently am working with a new client now and it has been easier to work with this specific client because they understand.

There is a popular comic out there that basically depicts the traditional client… below is a short snippet of the comic, but here is the full link to the comic.

Since starting some client work I have been overviewing a lot of Shoemoney’s old post, Adhustler’s blog, and CDF Network’s blog. Recently Chad just released a tutorial on how to attack local markets with his Local Lead Plan.

Even the big gurus are talking about doing local advertising for your business because it is the biggest thing to do right now.

Personally I even stated I was diving into local advertising and I have. With the help from Chad answering my noobish questions I learned a couple valuable things.

With his new product Local Lead Plan, he has a bunch of things which can teach you what to look for when it comes to and how to deal with clients and produce results for them.

Here are some things to look out for that is being discussed in his new eBook…

  1. Chapter 1 Why local lead generation
  2. Chapter 2 Finding customers
  3. Chapter 3 The pitch and first proposal
  4. Chapter 4 They are interested, now what?
  5. Chapter 5 Pricing leads
  6. Chapter 6 Website decisions
  7. Chapter 7 Handling leads – Web
  8. Chapter 8 Phone leads – Pay per call

… and many more.

This past weekend, while presenting at a Meetup, I was asked a couple questions about local lead advertising, and since I recently just jumped into local advertising – I was able to explain what I have experienced.

Chad has a far more greater experience than I do and has put it all in this 23,000 word eBook. It has a lot of information in it especially sample contracts, template landers, etc.

I personally have known Chad for a long time and he has a lot of great information to share. Definitely check out Local Lead Plan, if you want to expand your business or get into local advertising.

  • I’m really excited to learn more about this local lead gen. Have actually been wanting to expand business and bring some local clients online.

  • Seems like a good product to expand a business.

  • Sounds like a good plan. I will check it out because if you have a business you need to look in all directions to get new customers. There is never enough customers!:)

  • Nice post Ian. I was the (or one of the) dudes talking to you about local at said MeetUp. This looks like a solid product to fill in some of the gaps/questions for an affiliate branching into local.

  • Have actually been wanting to expand business and bring some local clients online.

  • USDman

Good info Ian… Back yard clientel business solutions.

  • Man this program is being PUMPED big time, but it seems like this could be the future of advertising on the internet. This is definitely a cool angle on the traditional internet marketing industry, and the fact that you are the third person I’ve heard this from today means I am having a look! 😀

  • Good luck in expanding ur business.

  • There have been several large affiliate marketers talking about this method of affiliate marketing lately at a lot of different affiliate marketing blogs, however, no one has really put together much information about it in to an easy resource.

    Till then,

    Jean

  • The article you have provided here is really great i love the post…great site too..i have gone through all your article you are posted here they are good

  • Working with clients myself, I know exactly what you are referring to. Some think they know it all, but as the saying goes. The client is always right. For me if the client is always right, then maybe I can’t afford to have them as a client. Just something to think about!

  • I loved that comic. As a web designer myself, I find it’s 110% true! Except I haven’t had some of those quotes before…

Anyways, I think there will be a big shift to more narrow-angle local stuff within the next couple years.

  • I think this trend towards local advertising still continues in the near future.
A first sign was the local google map listings and it’s definitely time to get on this train.

  • Ah yea, I used to be on the consultant side of things and heard all of those lines. Now I’m the boss and dish it out from time to time 😉

  • Local is lekker! Translated it means that local is sweet or tasty…If you’re South African you’ll understand 😉

The bottom line is that people are increasingly talking about local advertising, and the talk isn’t going to subside soon either.

  • Sounds good is good to learn more…to expand by getting local clients..
    Thanks.

  • Great post buddy. I think you are talking about advertising with local listing. Which help you to boost up your small business by providing you targeted traffic..

  • Man this program is being PUMPED big time, but it seems like this could be the future of advertising on the internet.

Thanks for this information Ian. Good Luck 🙂

  • Man, if there’s one thing I’ve learned with local advertising it’s that you better have all your ducks in a row or you are going to have many headaches on your hands.

  • I bet, someone who don’t know much about design, speak a lot about it.

  • I just watched a very cool video from yr friend, Chad!
Good info on Local Lead Gen info.
Gotta buy something to learn the ropes soon.
