Ryan Deiss, You Have Cluttered My Facebook

Ever since Ryan Deiss gave his little info product about Facebook. I have been seeing retarded Internet Marketing ads on Facebook recently, 98% of them are a total waste.

In fact most of them I have seen are all MLM style marketing. One ad I saw took me to Youtube who talked about .WS downline platform. They maybe legit but your landing page is YouTube?

So from my understanding, Ryan’s product told people Facebook is the new Google and now every MLM is doing Facebook ads. I even see retarded internet marketing ads on here that are just horrible. Almost everyday I see a new ad, I assume targeting marketing online. I see a new ad everyday because these newbies either lost cash and do not see any conversions from their crappy landing pages and give up.

Did Ryan not show some type of value on how to run a campaign and not just an ad?

From what i have been told Ryan’s product doesn’t really teach a person to do anything on Facebook except giving a little history and how to make an ad. I don’t think he went in depth about creating a proper landing page… because most of these landers I see are so horrible I do not see them converting.

It doesn’t even matter because 100% of these ads I don’t see again because I bet Ryan didn’t talk about how to look at Facebook data and analyze it. I am not going against his product, since I didn’t purchase it and I do not know what he tells people.

I am basing everything off from what people are telling me about his product, since I do Facebook advertising. I already know it pretty well. I mean I have been doing it since Facebook Marketplace and Facebook Flyers. From everyone telling me about Ryan’s product, they are also telling me I should come out with one as well.

In any case… my Facebook sidebar is just filled with retarded marketing offers from MLM or people trying to grow their lists. There isn’t any tactics these people are using except throwing up an ad and seeing if it will do them any good.

I bet 2/3s of these ‘marketers’ are not even tracking their conversions. Well I don’t see how they can, if they are sending me to a Youtube video explaining how much money they make with their downline and how you can get 100% commission.

tsk tsk…

Another annoyance is I find are all these Clickbank info products are now on Facebook, lots of free reports, lots of 100% free money. Really this landing page converts for the person? I didn’t even see a tracking link in the source…

Also, I want to fault this on Facebook Ads as well, some of the ad copy has horrible spelling! Op-in to my list? Really? There are broken sentences and capital letters being used in ways I thought was not by Facebook rules. So it’s either Facebook Ads are having a tough time with all the new ads coming in and letting a bunch slide or they have hired more retarded people.

So I want to thank Ryan Deiss for giving others the opportunity to advertise on Facebook and fluctuating the bids. I also want to thank him for cluttering my sidebar with useless ads that I personally do not think ever converted. I mean I won’t see the same ad tomorrow, so it must not be doing well.

Plus I do not know or understand why people still do MLM…

BTW I am coming out with my own version of Facebook Advertising… yes it’s an info product… and it will be far better than what Ryan Deiss put out.

What were your thoughts on the product?

Yeah Ian, Facebook is becoming full of useless ads, but i wouldn’t really have a problem with idiots wasting their money, but these whack ad’s are raising the amount i now have to pay just to get in front of people.

Google’s and Facebook’s whole “Bidding for ad space model” puts us advertisers against each other, and allows “Fly by night Marketers with a $500 credit card limit and a dream of getting rich for doing nothing” increase our advertising cost.

I think that in time, Facebook will get worst.

By the way, Thanks for you Blog and tips. Not to be racist, but it’s good to see a prominent Afro-American in the Online Marketing space. You have given me a lot of inspiration to start my own thing.

Thanks for the tips and advice

The name Clarence must mean ‘fucking idiot’ in some other language.

If they have a $500 limit then i guess they cant drive the bids up for too long can they?

    Also Ian…Keep it black brotha.

  • Clarence Middleton said:

Ad Hustler – whats up with the Hate LOL.

I only spend around $30 dollars a month on Facebook, so $500 dollar can go a long way, and with more marketers, i have to increase my bid amount to get my ads to show at all.

At first i could bid $.05 per click, and still generate some leads, now anything under $.23 and my ad don’t even show LOL.

Thanks for the feedback Ad Hustler

It’s the same over on myspace ads. It looks like you gotta get your traffic from other places, like PPV or media buys.

I absolutely did tell people the right way to create facebook landing pages and what you described ain’t it. (Also did talk about analyzing data.) Send me an email and I’ll hook you up with a preview copy so you can see for yourself. :)

For what it’s worth, Facebook ads do rock. Just don’t be a jackass. Hopefully that goes wthout saying but apparently it doesn’t. :)

    @ryan
Facebook ads do rock! I been on it since Facebook Flyers. Your right I don’t have your product, so am just basing my info from what people freely tell me. Plus the fact I see a NEW influx of retarded ads as well.

Your buyers maybe wrong or they havent taken your info to its fullest. I am just stating my opinions from the new wave of MMO ads and people telling me about your product.

I’ve noticed the increase of BS ads on facebook, and have been actively voting them down. The power of the people must unite here and everybody must just vote the crapola out as and when the opportunity arises. Whether this will be the ultimate solution I don’t know, but at least we have the opportunity to vote our dislike.

If the ads are as crappy as you say Ian, they’ll disappear soon when no one buys their products.

Man can I agree with this post! I hate a cluttered desk, but for some reason it gets that way. I think I need to take a few hours and get it back in order so I can start to feel ‘uncluttered’ while I work.

  • Hard Laptop Cases said:

If the ads are as bad as you claim, at least they should be temporary. Unfortunately it sounds like others are fighting to replace those crappy ads with other crappy ads. It is interesting that you give Ryan credit for all these bad ads. Do you actually know for a fact that these fools got their advice from him?

  • bubba moe said:

Just over night, the super new and improved FB quit letting my friends post on my wall. They can message me or comment on my status, but they cannot post on my wall, nor can they view old posts; only status updates and newsfeed are visible. I’ve been through all of my settings a dozen times and everything seems to be in order, but nobody can see or post to my wall.

You can even put any advertising on the site. People can access a second time once but certainly not enter. And so all we have lost. You need to choose quality not quantity.

  • jtGraphic said:

There’s a decent chance a lot of the new ads are from the Shoemoney System users too – they’re going through Facebook training right now.

  • Clarence Middleton said:

honestly i don’t think Ryan Deiss is the only cause, there are a tons of other ebook, sites, system etc spending un-trained idiot to Facebook.

The barrier to entry for online advertising is so easy, that any “get rich quick” idiot can start advertising, and effectively raise the cost of advertising for real marketers, and once their credit card is maxed out, another idiot is in line to do the same things.

FB, Google etc aren’t motivated to do anything about it, because they get paid regardless.

Next time i see one of these weak ads, I’m going to copy and paste the link address , and click on them like 20 times is hopes of draining their ad budget LOL. Joking LOL

I have this sims games as an app and made the mistake of allowing it to post on my wall w/out prompt. the next thing i knew it created over 70 albums each containing just one image and cluttered up my wall with who knows how much posts.

  • poker strategy said:

i want to get rid of it and disabled my connection with it to prevent it from adding more photos but now i just cant do anything. i don’t want to use a Javascript app hacker/delter i found out about because i’m on really high levels on some apps and it sucks to have to restart.

I really dislike those sorts of ads as well. They provide no value whatsoever and are quite spammy in my opinion. I’m sure your facebook advertising product will show people how it is ‘actually’ done. I look forward to its release.

Having recently read that Facebook hits have surpassed that of Google, it might be time to think seriously about Facebook. :)

I did buy Ryan’s product and it does suck, I don’t think he has ever made a FB ad himself. Got my refund the next day. He tells that you should expect to get a 2% ctr on FB and if not to make a new ad.. good luck with getting 2% ctr when he tells you not to target anything less than 50,000 people. He also tells how you can target different FB groups and pages but you can’t unless you own one but he does not know that. You are better off reading Ad Guidelines then buying his product at least the guidelines don’t give you false info like his product.

Ryan Deiss USED to have some really solid stuff. Like back in the day, I was part of his Total Access Club membership site and it was really really good. Nowadays though, all their crap is just getting really bad. Like geared towards the greenest of newbs. It all started around the time he teamed up with Perry Belcher.

@Silver – Yes I saw that he recommends 2% CTR too! Yea fucking right. I would love to see someone with a 2% CTR on a large demographic. Proof or GTFO in my opinion.

    Mr. Deiss;
I am writing to you because your support staff, namely Victoria, has refused to assist me and refused to provide me with your contact information.
Your company, Infomastery, made unauthorized charges to my credit card and my bank has informed me to contact Infomastery and have the charges reversed, however, Victoria refuses to do so. She believe since “someone” created a user name and password from an email address which is NOT mine that I must therefor pay for products and services I have not ordered, not received and not used.
I am seeking your assistance to do the right thing and correct Infomastery’s error and refund the money taken via unauthorized withdrawals. I would appreciate a timely response to my Email address.

For a review to be of value, or at least show respect to the reader’s time, require the writer to have first hand experience of the subject, not? You say “from my understanding, Ryan’s product told people Facebook …” and “From what i have been told Ryan’s product doesn’t …”. Clearly you just saw FB ads on the site and heard about Ryan’s product and then hit the keyboard.

But then the same goes to Ryan. 2% ctr?! Come on :-)

However Ian, we cannot agree more with you about MLM, gosh! And they DO take to FB ads, there is not denying that lol

We’ve use both Adwords and FB Ads and the latter was/is by far a more viable proposition. We monitor the stats closely, but granted, you cannot track conversion. The easiest tracking of conversion we’ve seen to date is the code offered by business.com
