The Only Place You Get to Network on the Beach

I have been to several conferences and internet marketing expos this past year and the year before. I do it because I like to talk to like minded people and network. My first conference was Affiliate Summit and I benefited a whole lot from it. I drastically grew my business because of attending other expos, seminars, and conferences. Now that I am where I am I feel I am lacking some aspect from these conferences because all I do is network and to meet friends. I rarely go to a session because I know it will be spoken and taught at a beginners moderate level.

Again I usually go to conferences now to meet with people and network. You also get the mix of people you meet that are beginners and they sometimes interrupt your networking and want to work with you and want to help you and want to take picture with you and want to ask more questions and and and…

It come to a point, will I do business with you?

Most conferences attract everyone and that is sometimes the downside. I personally grew by attending these conferences and being well connected in the internet space. Now it comes to a point how can i grow further. DK is having a ThinkTank in the coming weeks and it is a conference or gathering with top notch people!

ThinkTank is all about getting more connected and learning from everyones expertise. It differs from conferences because you talk to people that are starting in business or wanting to start a business online and so they ask a lot of questions.

For example, I work with local clients and I get annoyed at the questions they ask. To me I would assume you know what HTML means. The level of expertise at ThinkTank far surpasses these types of users and attendees. With such high caliber thinkes, DK also decided to make a full day of fun in the sun.

DK sets up tents on the beach and not in hotel conference rooms, surfing, football, open bbq, etc. This is a great setup because he is setting up a great way for everyone to feel comfortable. Your environment is everything when you want to connect and learn.If you are in a room that is set to be boring then your meeting or conversation will be boring.

Having such an atmosphere, DK creates a sense of great comfortability and a day full of fun.

    Indeed, having the right place can make things more comfortable and a beach is something very interesting for a gathering of this type.

    @MisSold It is funny. When the really high end guys get together, there is rarely a computer out. It is almost all done initially just talking. Then either a phone call gets made, and someone takes care of something, or it gets handled on the computer late at night alone. :)

    It’s a nice idea to spice up the environment into something where everyone will be in a better frame of mind to discuss new ideas and thoughts. Hats off to David for coming up with it. I also love that banner he’s made with his friends on it. :)

    These conferences and meetings are really cool places for networking and meeting friends. The best part is that you can learn new things from like minded people and grow your business. But unfortunately I haven’t had much success in attending such events yet. Hope I can schedule my time for more future chances.

    What a great idea for a think tank. It makes a lot of sense to get the attendees out doing activities together. That way people get a chance to talk business and actually bond. This should create some lasting connections.
