In January I went and visited the Clickbooth campus. It was a great time hanging out with Eric and my Brittany. Besides taking my acting skills to a whole new level, Eric pulled me aside and we had a great conversation about out industry.

Another great part while I was in Sarasota, FL was the nice scenery. Eric took me out to lunch that day and I got to see some great places and beaches. One of the best part was seeing the night life… If you watch the video to the end you will see that Clickbooth got me on camera without me knowing…

…but I cleared the floor… literally… watch below

When I visited Eric at the Clickbooth office, I was invited to get a sneak peak of the brand new campus. It was a crazy day of just having fun an a brand new building. It had that new building smell to it. The unique part is the fact they have two big buildings. It was a nice day in Sarasota that we decided to do a Youtube Hollywood clip.

Below is the video we did at the new building. It took months to prep up for this part and a lot of acting practice. But I think I held it down and I did my thing. I am hoping to appear at the Grammy’s next year for “Best Affiliate Actor”.

Enjoy.

Well that is probably because you take all the schwag that is being handed out home. I personally learned that I don’t need all that crap. I only go grab what I want. Any excess I just leave in the hotel room for the room service to take home if they wish.

Usually there are tshirts that I grab which I wouldn’t dare wear on the streets of Jersey. So far the only tshirts I rocked out on my block is Convert2Media, Ad Hustler’s custom design, and some others.

From the conference, company’s or affiliate networks use tshirt to do a self promotion of their network or company via a user. Sometimes these shirts can be really dull and/or spammy or most likely corny. You probably seen me with another network tshirts when I do video, but guess what they stay in the house.

Today I approved affiliate.com’s tshirt. This tshirt is def approved for the streets…

I have noticed several more emails asking how to get into it and ask what it is all about. PPV traffic or CPV traffic is all contextual popups or pop unders. Do you know those annoying popups that occur on your screen when a Netflix ad? Yea those popups.

These traffic sources are very cheap because of the users that are use to popups and that they avoid them. But for users who actually look at them they convert with a high conversion. Imagine spending just .01 on impressions and then getting paid a $42 per lead? Now that is a HUGE return.

Here is an old video I had for What is PPV Traffic. I was going to post this for something else but never got to it, so why not just use this video for this blog.

So I have been working on the road a lot lately, sometimes it gets boring working at home. So I have been going to the beach past couple weeks and using my iphone to tether to the laptop. I have been getting a lot of questions about the tether via Twitter and Facebook, so I will post it here.

The tether is very simple and very basic. Even though ATT will release a way for users to tether their iPhone, this is a temp fix or hack to get it up and running right now. NOW, this is how I did it and it should work for you. If you are going to tether all your other laptops as well, make sure they have the newest release of iTunes with iPhone compatibilities. This tether will not work on new PCs without iTunes.

Also, make sure you check your data usage via your ATT account online. You do not want to abuse this because ATT may flag you. Another thing is this will work with the new iPhone upgrade 3.0.1 (I checked my version, 09/07/09). I am unsure if this will work with prior versions.

Ok so lets get tethering…

Others like buy.at were 1gig! But in any case I plugged the USB in and to my surprise there are some docs on there that are useful. Like targeting and utilizing age and birthdays.

So guess what since it has been several days since Affiliate Summit I have decided to just give you the documents to the docs that Facebook provided. There are 7 documents which Facebook provided I will just give them to you. This is why you should attend Affiliate Summit, free good information!

So I got a free USB drive and some good documents and information from Facebook, grab your downloads.

Yesterday, I drove t Baltimore, Maryland to meetup with Shawn Collins, Missy Ward, Buy.at team, and others to join in an Advertising Tax Talk within our industry. It was a crazy 2 hour or so drive but, it was very informative and fun.

I got in early and had lunch with buy.at. It was good food and home brewed beer which was good too. Never really had home made beer, but it was an entertaining flavor. After lunch I toured their office, it was a pretty big office. It is split into sections. The majority of it was advertising.com and there was a small section for buy.at, but they are all a family network.

I also met up with Robert from Contempt.me, since I had about a 4 hour gap from lunch till the Tax talk I decided to drive up and meet up with him. It was great to chat and talk and discuss business.

Guest Post By: Karen Noonan

We are all currently being overwhelmed by talk of the economic recession. Sure, it’s a bad situation out there and doing the whole “woe is me” thing with your friends, family, and neighbors is as common as taking out the trash these days. But, throwing an economic pity party isn’t doing you or your wallet any good. If you spent that time and energy focused on your earning potential you’d have much less to complain about.

What do I mean? Well, as an affiliate manager for the RevResponse program, I have clear vision into what is working for affiliates and what is keeping them from earning. And, with that vision I can see that with just a little effort many web publishers could be sitting pretty during this economic downturn. Keep reading to find out how…

Shameless self promotion… As I said, I’m the affiliate manage for the RevResponse program. The ideas I will list for monetizing your site could work with a variety of affiliate programs and offers. However, some of these ideas are more likely to perform with the free business offers and resources we make available to our affiliates. Feel free to join RevResponse for access to our free business magazines and downloads which you can give to your audience while making money for you.

Still using Google Reader for all your affiliate feeds and keeping up with all those blogs? Well, a new aggregated system out is putting a new twist on how we read our feeds. As an affiliate I want to keep up to date on what is happening in our industry. Whether it be affiliate contest or new tactic to game facebook or google. Sometimes when reading my Google reader it gets to cumbersome with reading all the titles and having it mixed with my other feeds.

Well Justin has created an awesome site that I really like. AFFBuzz.com is one of the best affiliate aggregated sites out there. This has all the news from top affiliates in our industry and I heart this site. His site has grown so much when I first heard about it on twitter. From then it has become my main source for affiliate news. With it being a buzz right now, there are a lot of new sites on there that I disapprove, but they are at the bottom.

Jim Kukral has a weekly UStream channel, where he goes live for about an hour and critiques and helps aspiring entrepreneurs make money online.

I usually watched his mini show every weds, non logged in. But yesterday I was just chillin in front of my PC and decided I haven’t talked to Jim in a while. I just participated and had a mini chat. Its nice that Jim is engaging with his viewers. From then on Jim showed me that it is important to get yourself out there and just do it. I been wanting to use ustream, but haven’t got the chance to just because I am busy with stuff. So I figured, why not ustream me working. I did and amazingly people joined. I was actually surprise at how many people came to watch.
