When it comes to marketing online you need to test and test. You have to test repeatedly. Sometimes you do not know what to test. How can you find out what to test without knowing. Well that is the hardest part, you have to test everything! To make my life a little easier I use a web analytic system that is a must to have when doing anytime of marketing analysis.

I use Clicktale. Clicktale allows you to see every mouse movement and every click in action. It is just like having a Hulu vision of your traffic. Watching your traffic and how they react to multiple aspects of your website or landing page. It is like being on the other side of a double sided mirror and just watching your traffic do what they do naturally.

The best part is you get to analyze the traffic in real time and see how they react. What are they reacting to, why are they rapidly leaving, why are they on the page so long, etc.

Wow it has been a while since I did a review of Wishlist Member and aMember. So now what I am going to do is do a recap of everything and you let me know which one you think is better. I have both and some are features do play a stronger role with each product.

I hope the past 2 write ups about each membership script was helpful. Lets get in the final round and lets see who is the best membership script.

So lets break it down and see which one will be better or acts better… these are my experiences and I hope it will help you decide which membership script will be better for you. Each one has its powers and each one has its weakness. So one maybe powerful because it is using the power of wordpress while the other will have more plugins and versatility.

Let the battle begin! Wishlist Member vs aMember Pro

Wishlist Member: Positives

Easy to install, download > upload > activate

a lot of video tutorials, which makes it easy to move around the interface and use its features

very clean interface, can be easily navigated

Easily integrates with aweber, paypal, and clickbank

Ability to create multiple membership levels

Really easy member management

Content protection base on the membership level

…more great features

Wishlist Member: Negatives

Took a while to integrate the mailing list options – but the videos helped

sometimes you forget to check off the membership level when you are trying to protect your content

the main options are a must to do, I forgot to do it my first time installing

…not sure how to integrate a forum

aMember: Positives

Lots of plugins and tools to be used within the system

built in affiliate program

ability to mail membership type users (expired, active, etc)

Simple interface

Various ways to protect content

Integrates with multiple payment systems

system logging. Logs what the script is doing and what users are doing.

Overall income reports and demographic reports! <- love this

Main dashboards shows overall stats including income

Integrate forums, wordpress, and other systems with their arsonal of plugins

…more great features

aMember: Negatives

Takes a while to get use to (interface and internal mailing features)

if you have your own affiliate system it takes a while to recognize the payment scripts to integrate your affiliate system

templates can be cumbersome to use and may be difficult to re-do yourself

email notifications can take a while to understand especially if you are doing recurring billing

Product integration can be confusing, especially if you have different levels of your membership

Overall

Now it may seem that I am favoring Wishlist more because of its versatility and ease of use but once you get to use amember it is very powerful. It does take a while to get use to while Wishlist you can upload it and start using it.

The big difference with Wishlist and aMember is that there is no setup with SQL since your Wordpress installation has already done that for you. aMember you will have to setup the SQL and all that stuff but it is easy.

I use Wishlist as a product download page as well as content. While I am using aMember as a gate to specific folders of my domain. aMember has a very nice and powerful security system. Wishlist uses the power of Wordpress to make their membership script work.

I personally do not favor either or I do use both and I do like both. I hope the above recap was helpful enough for you to chose which one will be better.

Check out aMember and Wishlist Member for yourself and see which one is better.

To continue with the Member script battle, we are going to talk about aMember. The other day I talked about Wishlist Member… so today is round 2 with aMember.

I was thinking about aMember in the beginning when I wanted to start a small membership site. But I heard there were issues with getting use to it and having things work properly with it. But again it is also one of the most recommended membership scripts out there.

It was not till some of my marketing friends started making membership sites and they were using aMember. I ask them what they thought and they gave me their inputs.

After a good week of asking around I decided to purchase a license and install it and test it. At first it was time consuming trying to get use to the interface and its settings but after that it was fairly easy. Then came the plugins and versatility that I needed for my site…

The installation of aMember was very simple and very straight forward. I didnt have any issues installing it at all. Once in then you get to play around with the interface and settings. I have messed up a couple things in the beginning but I finally got use to the interface and use to what it can do.

At first it was working great and I enjoyed it, but then when certain things came up like how would I integrate it with my affiliate program, how does it handle with aweber, how does it remove canceled users etc. So these things I spent several good days researching Google and the aMember forum.

Good thing about their community and their staff is they are all helpful and I get a response usually within a couple of hours. It did take some several customization with my programmer to get some things working the way I wanted.

One good thing it gives me is the access logs and who have logged in and what pages they went to etc. Which I think is really good to help troubleshoot if any issues arise. The main dashboard is very informative and gives you a lot of information right away.

Another good thing about amember is the fact they have a ton of plugins free and paid. I have bought several plugins to seamlessly integrate a forum, some reporting, and soon I will be purchasing some other plugins to help with the selling of my membership site.

One thing I did not like was the fact that if you add someone for free it calculates it as an income, which I think it shouldn’t. The only way to avoid this I think is to personally create the same product BUT without a price. This way it does not get calculated with the income reports.

…speaking of reports. Amember has a very basic reporting system and I think can be improved. They have very basic reports but one report stick outs, demographics. This can easily show you who your demographics are overall. Helping you who to target online.

I know some users have requested a more versatile reporting and more options than protection. But there are a lot of plugins for amember but sometimes you may have to create your own to get what you want.

.. Check out aMember and let me know what you think. In a couple days a total wrap up will be discussed. Maybe a video?

So I have my own membership site, it is an actual service. I have bought 2 types of membership scripts because I have 2 types of membership styles. One is where I have all my digital products in one location and where users can download them. Another is a service with scripts and functions.

In the beginning I wanted to use strictly Wordpress as my membership script since there is already a login area for it. I figured it was the best bet for my membership site. Then another idea came and wishlist could not do what I need it to do, so I bought another script. Well I think I got a good comparison with both scripts – because I think both scripts accomplish what I needed it to do!

So here is a nice write up of the comparisons of both script, Wishlist Member vs aMember!

…I didn’t spell that wrong either.

Today, I want to share with you a new affiliit learning membership sites. Yes there is a lot out there and they all vary from which is better and all this other stuff. Now if you want to do affiliate marketing but do not understand what you need to do first, I suggest you get a mentor or read some blogs. BUT do not read too much. You need to actually do it.

Now, I was privileged enough to get access to and to see what they have on here. The only affiliate ppc marketing classroom I hear of is PPC Classroom which I hear is one of the best out there, which is also similar to Affiliate Classroom with Amit. So how does this differ from others.

Well I personally learned about affiliate and online marketing all by myself. This meant I had to make mistakes, I had to lose money, I did all my split testing – no one helped me! I read blogs, forums, posted questions, attended conferences, etc. I didn’t have a solid mentor to go to. No one to ask questions that will have a consistent answer. I was all by myself.

Affiliit.com gives you a helping hand with online marketing. Their service is not just a private all access forum. They have 2 well known guys in the industry already, in which I have emailed back and forth about their program. Clint Lenard and his partner Chris, which I do not know of. Well anyways, their names does not really matter it is the content and the service they are providing which is why I am writing this post.

So what is in their system that differentiates them? Well, starters it isn’t a forum! Let’s get that ish straight. It has a forum. But it also has like sectional learning, like chapters and ish. When I was within their community they had some real beginner stuff, so I just went on to their videos and browsed their tools.

…they got a real good hand in the tools section.

The video series breaks things down into sections, beginners, keywords etc. They have a good amount of videos within their site, being it is a fairly new site. Their is a lot of text information within their membership site that is worth reading especially if you are getting started or want to get started.

Some videos are basics of Prosper202, Applying to Networks, etc. They have videos showing you how to properly use their tools and optimize your campaigns. The videos are great. It is almost like going to an online university but for affiliit marketing. I do not think Clint will mail you out a diploma. If it makes you feel better click here for your web success diploma.

Their videos alone are pretty well verse. It is a step by step and they give you a good view of what is going on the screen.

The most interesting part is reading through the forum. There is a lot of knowledge in there and the best part is the forum is really active. For being brand new in the ‘teach me’ affiliate marketing space, I figured it would be pretty dead and repetitive. But there is a lot of good information in there.

The best part is they attack it like from a personal point of view, because reading some of the users goals is quite intriguing makes me want to just copy and paste their goals on my whiteboard. I guess it is more of a personal satisfaction that it is written somewhere and they know they got the affiliit team to make sure thy are on top of it.

Overall very good system and program they have here. Very well verse in media, content, and communication via their community. I think I myself will start participating in the forums to give my 2 cents.

Visit their website, they have a $1 trial that is going on right now. Even for $1 testing out hte tools and browsing the forums will benefit you a lot.

Maybe I will get Clint or Chris to get on a podcast about their platform and maybe share somethings. Damn, I haven’t done a podcast in a long time.

So many keyword tools out there and your all confused on what to chose. I have been wanting to write this post a while back but I just didnt have time or it was just delayed or I was side tracked, or I didn’t want to share this crazy tool to you guys. But this keyword tool is one crazy motherfricker! It is called Keyword Rockstar.

Now I talked a lot about other keyword tools and I have my thoughts on others while I support a lot of really good ones. Today, I have this other crazy tool that does almost all the tools out there. It expands off the Google Keyword tool and does even more.

Jon Shugart has created this crazy keyword tool that does what most of the keyword tools does. The problem is with these multiple keyword tools, they either focus on one thing or several other smaller features. But Keyword Rockstar has multiple functions and does a hell of a lot of work.

Today, my buddy Brad Callen released Keyword Elite 2.0. Now you are thinking hey I have a ton of keyword tools or there are too many keyword tools out there, which one is the best? Well, every single one of those keyword tools are valuable because they provide you with something another keyword tool doesn’t. I personally think each keyword tools are worth the investment.

BUT Brad got a really good system on keyword research which is rarely seen in others. It digs! Which is a very powerful feature and I think it finds more keywords for you which will be the determination of your success. Since keywords are important factor in online marketing, you want to dig deeper in each keyword and see what is being produced. Each keyword is unique and pulls in different types of information.

Sometimes it take time to find the perfect keyword, but Brad solved this issue and made t automatic. He has and is doing the digging for you on each keyword Google is providing to find more and more relevant keywords for your niche.

If you think I am just hyping it up because me and Brad are friends, well I actually bought it and I got the video to give you a quick preview of it on just what I mean when it starts to dig deeper into each keyword it finds.

Watch the video:

As the affiliate marketing industry grows and grows, more and more networks are rising and since most networks are all alike and can offer the same exact thing. High payouts, exclusive offers, weekly payments, etc. One network decides to attack it at a different level.

Elite Profits is a new CPA Network which aims it self at giving a lot of money back to their affiliates. Elite Profits is a fairly new CPA network, only just 3 months old they have a lot to offer to their affiliates. First, their site is very attractive and appeals to the audience, I mean who doesn’t like to see a sexy lady on the front page of a network.

…and their is a reason for that. I talk to Adam about his network and what separates them from the rest. He told me a lot of good things that I like.

Now if you notice on their main page, their is a swim suit model just hanging out in the middle of their site. This isn’t just an eye candy but a purpose, Bliss Bailey is a swim suit model and the reason why she is on Elite Profits home page is because they are doing a raffle to win the network’s commission. By this they simple mean the margin they earn off an offer.

For example, you are promoting an Acai offer and you are getting paid $30 per lead, well the network is making $32 on the offer. So the difference or margin is $2. Which means you earn their full profit on the specific offer. If you do 100 leads to the specific offer, that is an additional $200 for you to take home. So this does have it’s advantage.

I can say some affiliate managers will risk their margins/commissions just so I can run and continue the traffic on an offer, but it seems Elite Profits is risking the networks. So it does have a bigger benefit.

There is 2 ways which you can win the monthly margins from their network, which is very simple. The first is you have to earn a minimum of 500$ a month, if you do then you are entered in a raffle with everyone that has generated a minimum of 500$ as well. Then 3 lucky winners are chosen.

The second way to win is a similarity of the raffle but your a definite winner. All you have to do is earn a minimum of $1000. Once you reach that you get to take their margins. Its pretty simple and it is easy to do. So if you are doing volume and reach $500 or $1000 then you are entitled to get the networks margins, pretty grateful of the network.

One twist…

With the raffle, as I was talking to Adam to get a better understanding of their network. They are doing the raffles with swim suit models. Bliss Bailey as I mentioned, will be the first to pick out a winning raffle and they are going to do it live as well. Very Very catchy, I mean I bet more will log on to watch the models – still that is eyes on Elite Profits. Each month they will be doing a raffle they will be grabbing a new model to pick a winner. This networks definitely knows how to entertain.

Well enough of the entertainment, lets get into the network details.

Offers

They have a couple offers which almost all networks have. I did not see any offers that I have not already seen. But the offers they do have only are of the ones that are converting. So this is good, if you want to split tests offers on networks. I personally found the same exact offer will convert better on one network than another, not really sure why that is.

Also, caps. If there is a cap on an offer maybe another network that runs the same offer does not have a specific cap or probably worked out a contract with the advertiser of some sort. Sometimes caps are also universal which can not be phased by any network.

They have a variety of offers, nothing that really stuck out to me. The offers they are running are of what is currently hot out there.

Tracking/Reporting

Elite Profits uses Hit Path as their tracking system. This is a good alternative to Direct Track. Hit Path has a very clean user interface and easy navigation. Their API is easily accessible if you do decide to use it. Reporting and tracking seems to be in real time and gets log into their network rapidly. A definite plus.

The only thing I have with this network is all offers have to be requested, you can’t just start promoting the offer right away. You have to request the offer, I really don’t like this because I test a bunch of offers right away. Especially if I am in a rush to find an offer replacement I need that specific offer ready to go.

The reason they do this to protect their advertiser, they only want quality traffic and not spam traffic. Which I guess I can understand. But there are tons of ways to get traffic and you have to test the traffic. But you will have to fill out this mini form and give a reason how you are going to be promoting or driving traffic to it.

Communication

Adam, sounds like a solid guy. Base out of Connecticut they run their network with 4 other employees. Adam sounds like he really is having fun and is there to help. I mean he made a wall of post it that says “Get Money”! Great conversation with Adam about his network and I will definitely try to meetup with them at any upcoming conferences and if he is in NY

Visit Elite Profits because they have swim suit models!

Content Bully enables you to find laser targeted websites for your placement campaigns on Google’s Content network. Content Bully makes the whole process of finding highly relevant websites in your niche extremely easy.

If you have toyed with Google Content Network, then you know it can be a troublesome process. The reason for this is because you consistently have to look at the custom reports set forth by Google, filtering out sites that you do not want.

There is a bunch of ways to get clicks to your offers. Recently the more popular IQ quizes are popping up like crazy and they seem to be doing very well for most. Me personally I haven’t gotten it to work perfect just yet. But this bring me to a topic that use to be popular and is still popular. Polls.

You see them around on sites and even on Facebook. Will Kobe Bryan Punch Shaq? type questions. It requires an action on the users’ end. YES or NO. Some are more complicated and some are easy. The goal of these polls is to get someone to click over and then take action on the current offer, either submit type offers.

In the past I talked about how you can easily make $250 a day on email submits, using polls as a method of getting a good CTR. The problem I found was making polls and the complexity of creating them. There are several factors to consider: design, CTA, emotions, content for Adwords, end results, etc. Luckily I found a good program that will handle all this.

Poll Factory is a self hosted poll generator which does all of the above I stated. This system simplifies everything you do or when it comes to creating a poll. When you create a poll, it does get cumbersome especially if you are doing it all on your own.
