2009 is ending and I am trying to figure out where I want to hangout for 2010. …. anyways …. while in 2009 I have came across a multitude of desktop applications and web services which have helped me with my business.

The goal for me in 2010 is to be better organized and to be more productive. Living and working out of my house does get me unfocused most of the time and I need to stop this. I have found some things to work for me and it def has helped. So lets get started, I will start with Desktop applications and web services.

Desktop Applications

Doomi is an Adobe Air application which is really good cause it post up your to do list. Which you can check off and add new ones on the spot. I use this all the time if something comes to mind which I need to do I just type it up in Doomi. Once I have completed it I just simply check it off and its done.

The feeling of just completing a task keep you motivated to get everything else done on your list.

Mindomo is another great adobe air application because it lets you create mind maps. If you have an idea for a project, you want to brainstorm about it and make sure you have it planned out right to the minor details.

It allows you to let you think vividly because you see all the other aspects of your idea on the table. The mind map also helps me with my campaigns or my to do list.

It has been a while since a post. I was thinking to myself damn I got a lot of ish that I do. Besides affiliate marketing I do other things to expand my income. I do digital product creations/services and blogging and among others. So I have been pretty busy this past week and I have been slacking lately on this blog as well.

I have a good couple videos too that I want to put up as well. But in any case I have been multi tasking, working with networks and advertisers can be a pain. The reason is they want your traffic. I finally got the chance to work with a new advertiser to test out an offer and to see if it will work. I also started doing more Facebook advertising. The reason is because I want to test a traffic demographic both search and social traffic.

But also I had to deal and work with my programmers on the new Twit Sniper platform!

Every now and then I get an email that says how I get to do so many things and have it be successful. Well, today I will talk about how do just slow things down. I swear I think I have ADD with it comes to ideas. But sometimes you just have to slow down and look at your task list and re focus.

I have been releasing too many things and sometimes I look at my task and say slow the frig down! I have even been slacking on my own campaigns my margins have dropped from what my average is. So now I am looking to re organize a couple things.

So I have to SLOW DOWN! Every idea does not have to get implemented but can be done in time. Lately I have been doing a lot of reorg and trying to see where my focus should be.

Well, with branding it is very powerful and useful. I use twitter a lot and I even just post random things on there that does not relate to internet marketing. But does this build your brand and ofcourse followers?

Well, as you know there is a lot of hype out there that will build your followers for you. It simply is a viral follow form, but is it really targeted? Are you really interested enough for them to really interact with you? Also are you providing content to your followers in which they want to follow you? Building a good follow is important because they are curious as to what you do and what you have to say, plus if they interact with you it is a big plus.

Below is a screenshot of my followers base on a 3 month time frame:

First of all do you have a brand? Ask yourself that question. What do you represent? What are you viewed as? Brand is important and how you see it, especially if you are going to conferences and would like to be recognized for your hard work. Your brand determines how you work sometimes, how you are viewed, sometimes even attitude. branding definitely has a power in itself and it can be good or bad.

As you grow your brand, you want to make adjustments on certain things you want to be viewed. You can not say your brand is WHATEVER, it is your followers and readers that brand you. You can give yourself a static brand but within that static brand you can be given many others by your peers.

Branding is all about sticking out and being different and how people view you. How do you see yourself, more importantly how do others see you. Do others see you as an expert in a field? Do others brand you base on looks or performance. There is a lot of ways to get your brand out.

Personally, I have been branded several times over. My more popular brand is me pointing with my fingers in every shot I do. Another one is Ghetto Affiliate – seems I put a street sense to marketing online. But these are visual what are you known for marketing wise? Users see me as an affiliate, marketer, mr. networker, networking dinners, etc. There is just so much a person can be branded for. What do you do special that is outside the ordinary from others.

Yesterday we had our mastermind meetup and it was very informative, a lot of topics spoken and a lot of new things learned. We all drank and ate and discussed strategic plans on attacking a specific niche. We even criticized each others LPs and tactics on attacking our own niches, all 3 of our inputs helps one another without one of us trying to kill each other on traffic.

Besides the planning and learning we also discussed reality. We discussed aspects of normal people and entrepreneurs, this was a really good topic we just talked about over dinner. Everyone talked about how they hustled prior to online marketing and it ranges. I remember doing crazy stuff when I was younger, especially in the hood – when I was a young young young dude – like 20 years ago. But it says something you have to have a hustler’s mindset to survive.

Adhustler and WayneDog has done a lot prior to online marketing and it has helped their way of thinking. By far our group were basically hustlers when we were younger from drug dealing to selling on eBay.

Me personally, I have done several things in my young days, sighs. I have done custom mixtapes, I bought sneakers and clothing in bulk and sold them on eBay, I have done computer repair for local neighborhood, I sold old crap on ebay, playing card games, rolling dice, I have done a lot prior to online marketing. This type of thinking definitely has on impact on what you do and how you think of things.

I personally went heavy on the internet went I got kicked out of my parents house and started working 3 jobs! I started heavy with eBay and made good money that I started and risking it on affiliate marketing and information marketing. When I was doing eBay I even did local marketing, selling things out of my trunk.

I sold to employees at Wal-Mart, I went to local McDonald and just stood outside chilling and selling stuff out of the trunk of my car. It was crazy and I was definitely hustling heavy. This type of mindset definitely help me where I am today. It helps be thinking and rethink certain marketing aspects, how does a customer think and how do they react towards preselling topics.

Thinking differently and putting a different spin on how you look at things is important. There are people in this world who likes repetition and no change, basically workers. Then there are other people who like to think different and want to improve their situation, entrepreneurs. Thinking differently and doing something others are not puts you in a different boat.

If you started buying a pack of Juicy Fruit gum for 25 cents and sold each stick for 25 cents – I mean you automatically profit after you sold the second stick of gum, thus helping you increase your inventory and helping you create more income! It is this type of thinking that kids have when they are little or when they are strap for cash, you think of ways to make money.

Another example is selling mix CDs when 4x CD burners were just coming out. I remember buying a spindle of CDs, downloading music and providing a huge list of my music inventory and asking friends at school or whomever what type of mixes they wanted – sold each CD for 10$. This is another big profit since the songs you downloaded were basically free or cheap to purchase and a spindle of 100 CDs are cheap as well after the 3rd CD sold you basically profit!

Why isn’t the whole world thinking like this? Is it too complex for someone to grasp an idea and run with it? Repetition and no change is the typical Americans, it is a safe place – there is no risk involved. Which is fine because it separates the entrepreneurs from the typical corporate America.

I would ike to nkow how you started hustling prior to the internet, if its selling fake girl scout cookies to your neighbors or selling ice to an eskimo. How did you earn some sort of lunch money prior to internet marketing! Definitely would like to here all your stories.

That is the question? Do you know the answer? I bet you don’t and it is the most simple answer there is. The next question I will ask you is how to fit an elephant into a refrigerator? You may think this is a weird question but the answer is really simple. So simple it just boggles my mind. The answer that was given made sense and I it was my first answer but I thought to myself it might have been a wrong answer.

Well I have been listening to an audio book by Robert Shemin called “How Come that Idiot’s Rich and I’m Not.” It is a very interesting audio book and the first CD just got my attention right away. It almost remind me of the secret audio and dvd set but Robert goes into a different train of thinking. It reminds me of how I think and how I approach life. The audio or the first audio that I have listened to is about changing your mind set. It is our mind set that creates this typical world we are use to. So I ask:

How do you fit a giraffe into a refrigerator?

Well it is pretty simple, did you have answer? If not I want you to think about this for a little bit. If you have given up the answer is: Open the refrigerator and put the giraffe in. That is it! You are thinking and analyzing that this can not be but it is. I bet you are asking yourself what about the size of the refrigerator and the height of the giraffe. That is what I was thinking to myself when Robert gave the answer, but I thought of that answer but I started analyzing the concepts.

We start to think about the height and small size of the refrigerator compared to tall giraffe. We think we may have to fold the giraffe a couple times or even cut it up a couple times to just fit in this perfect rectangular shape fridge. But the simple concept is to simply just open the fridge doors and put the giraffe in. It amazed me that it was that simple and I somewhat answered correctly until I started to think about reality. I started to think the rows of the refrigerator, the drawers, the shelf space, etc. In my mind I started to rearrange what may be in the fridge already and how to organize the shelf space with a giraffe. I started to think how can I fold the giraffe or what pieces should go where.

This concept is telling us why are we thinking about the big reality when the concept is still the same. Your just putting something in a fridge no matter what size it is. A fridge holds food – that is the concept. But we start to restrict our thinking because of the size of an everyday refrigerator and an animal that is way to big. Our mind puts these together and says ‘can’t do it’ or ‘does not make sense’. This is true our mind takes these concepts and put and compares it to what we already know, but concept wise we do not think about the basics.

I personally think like this but not always because I got tricked by this question and it was the first CD. I started to realize to stop analyzing too many things and think about what the most direct answer would be. In this case or to this question: open a fridge put the giraffe in and close the fridge, simple. Sometime we have to pause and think what is the most direct answer to our goal/s.

We as human beings tend to over critique things because we are in an environment where everyone is not like you or I. We are in a world where everything is very repetitive, a small refrigerator vs a tall giraffe – add them together just does not make sense. So reality holds us back from what we want to think because of its everyday nature. If we can break out of this repetition we can think and provide direct answers to our goals.

Just listening to the first audio CD reminded me to start thinking the way I was and give the direct answer to a problem. From what I have been listening to I recommend grabbing Robert Shemin’s audio book called “How Come that Idiot’s Rich and I’m Not.” I will continue to talk about what I have been listening to especially if it provides great self improvement. I finally know how to fit a giraffe in a refrigerator. So simple!

This morning I am on the benchpress and benching 185. Usually this is my max since I am a small guy, but one of my friends took the 25 pound plate off and added a 35 pound plate on the already 45 plate that was there. It was a total of 205 pounds I need to bench, I only weight 145 too! I am looking at him and I was telling myself I wouldn’t be able to put it up. He told me to just get 3 in and stop being a little ‘bitch’!

I workout in the morning because it gives me a good rush and a morning wake up for my day. I feel energized when I work out in the morning. But after seeing the additional 10 pounds added on I was a little skeptical on trying to push it. I was already tired from doing chest but after being called a little ‘bitch’ I went ahead and laid down and put up 3 with a little struggle on the last rep, but I got it!

This kinda of taught me a real aspect of life to just do it. I tell myself to just do it all the time on the online world, but physically it is a different story sometimes. I was looking at the 2 plates and picturing the weight already on my chest but saying I wouldn’t be able to do it, this puts a negative feeling on the body and mind. Weight training is all about mind over matter, just thinking I can put it up 3 times showed I can probably do more. After putting it up 3 times I felt better, a little sore, but better and I look forward to push even more in the future.

So what does this have to do with blogging or making money online?

A lot actually, people look at things and over critique it. They see they will lose money or see it is a waste of time. This stops them from actually making money or being motivated. When my friend who was spotting me called me a little ‘bitch’ I was like WTF. He also says to stop making excuses and just do it. He was right, I just need to do it, plus if it ever fell on my neck or chest he is there to spot me – lol. But he simply showed me and reminded me to stop being a little ‘bitch’ and to just do the bench. This can go back to when I first started internet marketing, I didn’t want to risk anything but you need to take risk to accomplish something.

A while back I wrote about Goal Motivation and to Just Do It! It seems I am again being reminded and reminding you to just do it. Online marketing is fun to do, blogging is fun to do, networking is fun to do, there are so many things that are great about online marketing and the internet itself, it is just the fact you have to jump right in. No one will do it except you. No one will accomplish something except you. You can watch others accomplish big things while you just sit in the stand and watch, but do you want to be that person?

I find myself hesitating sometimes and saying to myself I can’t do that, I have to stop saying that and just stick to positive vibes and interests. I will be able to do it, I can do it! Those are the words I should be saying and will be saying. So it comes down to being a little ‘bitch’ or being a man about it!

This past weekend I finally got around hanging my bulletin boards and my white board. I love my boards because it helps me stay much more organize than trying to write it down on a piece of paper, which I may lost later in the day. I am at my computer most of the day and a lot of ideas come to my head from just thinking out loud, writing a post, or reading other blogs/websites. I just simply spin my chair around and write it on my white board.

If I am watching a video, I usually have my notepad out and start jotting down notes. After I am done with the video I take my notes and pin it up against the bulletin board. I will even print informative articles and pin it up as well. Flight tickets or passes to conventions I pin up on my bulletin board, it serves a constant reminder to me. I can check and take the ideas and start to generate off it.

These boards help me stay organize, no matter how messy the board is I can find what I need. Let’s break it down:

White Board/Dry Erase Board

A white board is, I think is important, necessary to write things down quickly. It is your idea board and it should have all your ideas that come to your head on a daily basis. It can even have test stats on there, since a white board is erasable. Anything that can be written and erased on a daily basis should be written on a white board. It is there to remind you of daily occurrences that may change on a daily basis.

I use my white board to write down quick stats or ideas that flow through my head. The next day I look at my board and see what I should work on and see what I wrote the next day to start working on. My whiteboard is my guide to my ideas, reality or not.

> See Products for Dry Erase Boards/White Boards

Bulletin Board

A bulletin board is there to track down your futuristic goals or usage tools. You pin up references and confirmed passes. A bulletin board can be used in similarity to a white board except you cannot write on it and erase text. The bulletin board can be used to pin up your first affiliate check or your future house, giving you a consistent reminder of your goals.

I personally use my bulletin board for pining up references and notes. I pin up airline tickets and convention passes. I have pictures of my future cars and houses. I write down a daily earnings goal and pin it up. I have 2 bulletin boards and I use them a lot to reference a lot of aspects of marketing. I have a PPC reference chart on my bulletin board, just in case I need a good headline or forgot what Adwords is.

> See Products for Bulletin Boards

Staying Organize by Using Boards

I like using my bulletin boards and white board. It keeps me thinking and helps remind me of future events or task I need to do. It helps me think about my goals and helps me keep more focus on my goals. Each board has its own purposes and reason to why I use it. I try not to jumble everything into one board because it becomes too cluttered; each has a purpose and carries information needed for me to stay focus and goal orientated.

Staying organizes and having a reminder of your stats or goals is crucial to staying up to beat with your competition or your personal goals in life.

As you know I can not start my PPC campaign until I pay off my credit cards. A lot of you has helped me chose the right cards to really run my ppc campaigns. I have been using my personal card and now it is maxed out. I already received several payments and I am in the process of paying my credit card and then Adwords. Once that is done I have some other plans I would like to do prior to getting back into PPC.

But what have I been doing while I have not been marketing? Well I have been trying to gain more traffic to my blog and started putting more content on my other websites. I also started 2 new websites and I am currently adding new content to it, so I still have been busy. I also have set new goals and new projects for the future.

I also have been working and re editing one of my sales letters as one of my new digital products has been modified. I am also working on a new bundle digital product and creating a sales page for that as well. One last project I have been working on is creating a personal forum for discussions and help with my digital products I sell.

As you can see even though I have not been doing PPC I am still very busy. Imagine doing all this plus PPC marketing? I literally need like 5 of me. But this proves a point; entrepreneurs are always busy and always thinking. I have a white board full of ideas and now I am getting to some of them.

Some of my goals were to create a passive income from 2 new sites that I am creating. My goal is to provide PPC traffic and generates a steady income from these sites. I have noticed some of my campaigns have expired from some of my networks and now I want to have a steady flow of income from specific niches. I do not want to put my time into something that will expire after 3 months or so.

But specific seasons call for specific offers – which I do not mind doing the research for. But this blog post is about thinking and how to properly think if you are stuck in specific situations.

Since I am waiting to pay off my credit cards and trying to register my LLC (so many questions I need to clear my head). I have found a lot of ways to think outside and still make myself productive.

How to be more productive:

Enjoy What You Do
This is important because if you do not enjoy what you are doing then no ideas come to you. You need to enjoy your current situation and more ideas will come. The more you enjoy the more you will feel it is not work and more of just a daily exercise that you enjoy. If you think it is another task then you will find things hard and your brain will be everywhere. Focus on the enjoyment of your situation.

Dream of your Future
Dreaming of the future gives you a big advantage. You can decide what you want to do and be. How much money you want and how successful you will be. Your dreams are like paved roads, you are creating it as you go and think. The more you think and feel positive about it you will feel better and want to push yourself to reach that dream.

Always be Positive
Being positive is the key to happiness. Not worrying about the future or the aspects of risk gives you a better feeling than always thinking about it. I personally do not think about bad aspects of marketing or my bills. They are always going to be there so why think about them, you ca no not get rid of them they are just there. Positivity is hard to generate because of these repeated aspects of life, just do not think about it and you will feel much better.

Close your IM Clients especially Twitter!
Instant Messaging Clients and email can be a huge distraction. Put yourself on invisible or close them. Twitter can be a huge distraction since we are nosy people; we always want to know what is going on. So twitter is a huge distraction since you want to know what your friends are thinking about or even listening to. Especially me, I get a lot of IMs and I try to help out when I can but sometimes I need to focus on my projects and will reject others and not even respond. I mean I need to make a living too.

Write Down Ideas
Ideas are generated from every time you read something or experience something. They become more fluent especially if you are always dreaming and staying positive. I write all my ideas down no matter how awkward they are or if they are even feasible. I have a white board where I generally write it down or I write it down on my phone if I am not home. Several of my ideas have come true and I am grateful for that. If I didn’t write my ideas down I would have probably never remembered them. Keeping track of ideas is very productive since you have it written down and it makes you want to accomplish it.

So I used these small aspects to help me stay productive even though I am not doing my daily routine or got out of my daily routine. Since I am now slowing down with PPC marketing I want to make sure I want to have the right productivity ideas still flowing through my head. I will also be preparing to make 1k a day goal reality as I have learned a lot in the past couple months in PPC. I just want to make sure it is under a business name.
