In affiliate marketing you will hear the term landing page over and over again. It is one of the ways affiliates and marketers take advantage of traffic. But sometimes a landing page can be so bad or not properly tested that you send traffic to it to only let go of the potential lead.

So one of my good friend, Andrew, has created a series of templates for you to use. Which is base on his experience as an affiliate to convert high quality leads into cash. He created Landing Page Classroom!

Now these are a series of templates base on popular niches within the affiliate industry. Each one made especially to target users and turn them into leads, meaning cash for your pocket. Andrew goes in to show you the backbone of Landing Page Classroom and his templates, showing you how easy it is to create and switch out themes.

As you know I talk quite a bit about PPV traffic on this blog. So I decided to get the person that introduced me to PPV traffic more heavily on a webinar, Kris from Cashtactics. When I first invited him to one of my dinners, he specifically told me that he makes money just via PPV. I was amazed. Then I saw why.

So I got him on the webinar to talk about his recent product called Mass PPV Traffic. As you already know PPV traffic is becoming the new traffic source for selected marketers. It is cheap and there is a lot of traffic to be utilized. I mean more and more new PPV networks are springing up.

With todays webinar we discussed several things about PPV traffic, the PPV networks you should work with and how to utilize the traffic.

They have created numerous blogs with their unique themes. They have also created a platform for affiliates that is amazing called Affiliate Theme.

Now they have Squeeze Theme. This theme is very similar to the powerful Affiliate Theme. You get to customize the theme to your liking with superior ease and functions. A lot of marketers say you need to collect emails, well these guys made it easier than ever to make a quick simple landing page and customize it to your liking.

Unlike those, Squeeze Templates you search for you customize everything with your dashboard and hit update and boom you have a new squeeze template.

In continuation with the daily webinars I am posting… I had Clint and Chris on the phone to discuss all about Affiliit.com. Now affiliate marketing is one of the easiest ways to make money online, but most of the times you need to make the mistakes to start making the money. So taking risks is the most important part of doing affiliate marketing or being an entrepreneur.

Clint and Chris are on the phone to discuss the aspects of affiliate marketing and where the affiliate industry is going. At the end we did run out of a time and we did get cut off for a bit. But these guys are mentors and want to help you make money online.

They have both the SEO and the Paid traffic covered. They also have the tools that is needed to get started in affiliate marketing. I have been in their community, though not as much lately as I have a lot of my own things I have to take care of but their community is very unique. Something to check out.

I just finished listening to the Google TV Ads Webinar. I was informed by a great friend, Wes Mahler, of this webinar and immediately joined. I was 3 minutes late but it was well worth the session. I do not see myself using Google TV ads but they brought up some great strategies which is typically generic for PPC.

What is Google TV Ads?

Google TV Ads is a flexible, all-digital system for buying more accountable and measurable TV advertising. Using the familiar AdWords interface, you can launch a TV advertising campaign in minutes.

Source: Google TV Ads

The webinar provided a lot of stats and images and used slides to illustrate what they were talking about. They say TV is one of the more popular advertisements and has higher conversions. I do not know if I am allowed to show you the slide because they have another webinar on June 4th 2008.

So just to be safe I will not post any images of the slides that I have viewed via the webinar. But it was very interesting to see Google step into the TV advertising industry. They are doing and taking over the advertising world, I think anyways. The webinar was informative and some aspects of it can be used for traditional PPC. For example:

Creating an effective ad:

Identify you Target Customer

Craft your key message

Support your key message

Decide on a call to action

Pull it all together

This is one of the techniques they show on how to create an effective ad. Looking at this you can use this for a standard PPC campaign and have it be effective. But back to TV Ads. The unique thing about this is they have a marketplace for you to create TV ads, Ad Creation Marketplace.

Ad Creation Marketplace is your place to get started creating your TV ads. You get to see samples and visualize your commercial before it actually goes live. The marketplace can be base on your custom budget, since you are the one spending money. There are services within the Google TV Ad Creation Marketplace for you to use.

The interface is kept consistence with Google Adwords and the simplicity of Adwords as well. TV ads are more specific because you want to target people watching TV at the specific time. Google gives you a great view and breakdown of when your ad should be viewed.

Being specific when your ad should be shown is critical, I think, you want your ads to be viewed by the thousands. Since it will be harder to track on a per click basis, Google TV Ads are measured in CPM (cost per thousand). Tracking TV ads will be a little harder; the only thing I can see is giving unique coupon and links as Google stated. You can see how many people use the specific coupon or use the specific link.

I can see the future in Google TV Ads but it may be harder to track and find the specifics of your targeted audience. I was curious and just watched and listened into the seminar. I am not sure if I will be using the Google TV ads.

Just typed this up fast after the webinar, sorry for any inconsistencies and errors.

Just finished listening to Russell Brunsons DotComSecrets Webinar, this was a very informative webinar. The only sad part is Russell had festive Thanksgiving and lost his voice during his seminar. I made out most of it and he was hearable throughout and respectful.

This webinar had a lot of great features, Russell spoke about how to be an Entrepreneur and how there are only 3 steps to achieve that title. But before I go into the 3 small steps I want to add a little more background about the webinar.

Again there was a lot of great and useful information, so much information I took notes! He mentioned sites I have never even heard of and that do great work. I wanted to snap shot every single one of his PowerPoint slides, but I didn’t know if he would allow them. So I just wrote the sites down and I will read them through later tonight or tomorrow morning. But Russell did a great job showing the other tools and resources out there that can be very beneficial to a business or an entrepreneur.

The only negative feedback I can say is he went through everything quite fast, I do not know if he is trying to rapidly go through it because of his voice or time limitation. I wanted to write a couple things down and the next thing you know there is another slide. BLAH!

Well here is something beneficial, the 3 Tips on being the perfect entrepreneur:

Specialize

Create

Take Action

By these he simply says to learn and specialize in a particular field. A really good example is eBay. Do not learn how to setup auctions and decide when to start an auction but specialize on taking advantage of eBays traffic. Smart. He uses eBay as a lead generation, helping him grow his list thousands by the say.

I actually know about this but I keep getting my about me page suspended or reset. Here is DotComSecrets About Me Page on eBay. Now that is really powerful using eBay to capture leads, since users on ebay always want to buy, right? Well I will try to perfect my about me page in hope I do not get suspended again.

So you specialize in ebay, now what? Well create a strategy which you can implement. If you have a great strategy and it works then the third step is to take action. Now Russell takes this a step further by saying to specialize, create, and take action to give to someone/employee. I do not know if I can explain this right but – I think he is saying to Specialize in SEO, Create that strategy and pass it off for someone to take action, this way you have time to stay on the beach.

I think that is right. But it does make sense you want more time to yourself and your family. But those three steps really do make sense. Specialize in eBook Marketing, create that strategy and then take action. Though the offer was pretty expensive, I got a lot of information from Russells PowerPoint Presentation.

But as other webinars and seminars that are free, I thought tonight’s webinar would be another one of those sales seminar. My product is great because it does this really cool things, and I am throwing a bunch of bonuses in it, a free ebook with usb key, a free month of this and another dvd, a picture of me laughing at you, and a cassette tape player with a tape of me saying I am better! I hate those types of seminars and webinars.

There are other things that were very helpful that I never heard of such as parasite marketing, which is the first time I am hearing. He goes into build and creating a business model for your business because you are an entrepreneur not an employess. This brings something a little off topic since I have been reading a couple things within the blogosphere about creating and making a business model. A couple have mentioned and wrote create topics about it.

This is true, you do need to have a business model and Russell shows you the easiest business model, the Entrepreneur Business Model. It is 3 simple steps. There maybe other model in between like employees and etc but it is pretty basic.

The best part about this product is Russell will personally train you and your employees! Again the price was pretty hefty for me to really consider but I did gain a lot of knowledge from his webinar and his PowerPoint. The basis of his product are all, I think, of his teachings and seminars he does and will be teaching you about how to start a business. Here are the things that you receive with his purchase.

A 14 DVD Collection showing every single money-making tip that allowed me to skyrocket my online business while taking classes, spending time with my wife, and wresting full-time in college.

A 14 CD collection that contain audio tracks from the DVD. I know that I can listen to these CDs in my car, while I’m exercising, or anytime I am too busy to sit down and watch the DVDs.

The DotComSecrets Companion Workbook that gives an excellent overview of your million-dollar blueprint before I get into the nitty-gritty with the DVDs and audios.

The DotComSecrets Action Checklist that contains all the money-making steps outlined in your course in easy actionable steps that I can check off as I do them.

Bonus #1: A FREE 30 Day Subscription To DotComSecrets Magazine that will expose me to the great minds that are instrumental to making your online company an extreme success.

Bonus #2: A FREE 30 Minute Consultation With One Of Your “Million Dollar Success Coaches” that I can mastermind with (or answer my questions if I have any problems).

Bonus #3: A FREE Eight-Part Follow Up Teleseminar Series that you are graciously hosting (considering the value of your time). I understand that you will be reinforcing the main points taught in the DotComSecrets course, as well as bringing up a couple new “changes” to the internet marketing scene since the course was recorded.

That is a lot of items to receive, but it is worth it. They even have a payment system which makes it affordable, but my concept is I do not want you to hand things to me I actually want to learn. That is why I say I learned more from Russell pre-sell speech about his product from maybe his actual product? I say this because the product removes steps 1 and 2 of how to be an entrepreneur, the only step you need to do is take action, which is smart because that is a really good NLP strategy he was using. Take action!

But to me why would I want to remove the first two steps if I am really not using my own creativity to make and take my own actions? This is a really good product and I think this is released just in time before Joel Comm’s Secret Classroom. Hmm…… Which to buy?

I listened in to Rob Toth teleseminar and I think it was a useless teleseminar because the tactics that he is speaking about and selling are already in use and it is quite old. I have personally done all of his tactics that he has proposed in his new product and I have gotten results from these tactics. Good results may lead to bad things, such as annoyed readers.

If you can recall, I had a scroll bar at the top of my blog about my new revolution theme contest, grabbing the attention of many readers to participate. This has helped a lot with my contest and new traffic. I also received some emails about the annoyance of the bar. Luckily I only had it for 1 week, the week of the contest. Once I took it down the emails stopped.

Rob Toth, has the right concept and idea. Grab your readers’ attention and try to offer a second chance sale to those that are not interested, maybe even upsell something to the buyer. His new product BuyNowWizard does all this and maybe even annoys the buyer or potential buyer.

Don Morris the new owner of the popular 7Dollar Script joined in this teleseminar, the audio on his end was very low and I did not really hear most of his conversation. I think the script that Rob is using is part of the 7Dollar Script. It has the same features and some characteristics to is, but Rob decided to add some other attention javascript to the file as well.

The whole teleseminar is all about getting that second chance and interacting with the potential buyer. There are several attention grabbers which Rob uses within his software, again I have done all of his tactics within BuyNowWizard and they do work, but incorporating them all at once or maybe use more than one? Here are the features which Rob Toth’s new product uses:

Browser Warning Bar

The browser warning button can be found with Internet Explorer or FireFox. It is the traditional light yellow bar that floats on top of your page and provides you a warning. With this product you are able to create a warning to your reader.

That does grab the attention of your readers, luckily this does not follow you as you scroll through the content. Rob says we are naturally pulled to the warning bar because it is a warning bar. With his product you are able to change the text and insert links and even change color.

Pop Up on Exit Screen

This is not an old strategy as it was used many times before Rob’s new product. There are multiple versions of this popup exit overlay. This is very good for giving your product another chance in being purchased or maybe even doing a case study on why they are leaving, as this screen shot below is doing.

The uniqueness of this on exit popup overlay definitely captures the attention of your buyer; it sticks a warning sign right in front of them before they can leave your sales page. This is helpful to have the buyer optin to grab a free report or even view a video. This has done well and much better than on entrance popup overlays.

Limited Time Offer Count Down/Closing Deadlines

A simple counter that grabs the attention of your users by providing them the limited time they have before they are not able to purchase or grab your free report. This again is an old tactic but useful. MSN, Yahoo and many others use this tactic to run contest and competition to their readers. You have X amount of time before this special offer will end. Usually it will last for 1 week or maybe 30 seconds, it depends on the product and how long you want to provide the special offer.

You will tend to see fake timers that will count down from 60 seconds and at the end of 60 seconds you get a popup. Well I believe with this script you are able to control the closing deadlines and special offers, very powerful. But this is an old strategy yet it is still useful.

There are even scripts that provide the first X buyers get a discount, after X amount of buyers bought, the product is set back to its’ original price.

Inventory Counter

Another powerful feature which is also old is an inventory counter. This is another great tactic to use. It tells the buyer ‘If you are Serious, BUY NOW before it is all gone!‘ This was done in a very poor traditional way where a hard number was just implemented on the sales page, 67 left out of the original 100. It really was not a counter, but BuyNowWizard can do this, Don Morris 7Dollar Script does this as well, for $7!

This specific tactic is the most powerful for this script as Rob says. I believe it is powerful because it does work, even back in the day when marketers just put false numbers on their sales page and not an actual counter.

The inventory counter will only attract the most serious prospects and will make your potential buyers into buyers. It creates the sense of urgency to purchase the product before the actual product runs out.

The Total Annoyance

All tactics are very helpful and yes they do work. Now the only problem is incorporating all of these into once, it will get annoying. I have checked the report page Robs’ BuyNowWizard and he incorporates 3 out of the 4 tactics that were described within his teleseminar.

I found the bar to be annoying with the on exit popup, because first that little bar caught my attention and I click on it and read what it had to provide to me. When I want to redirect away I got hit with the “WHY ARE YOU LEAVING?” on exit popup overlay. Super annoying, especially when I first saw that warning bar.

The warning bar caught my attention and I didn’t even get to read the damn title of the sales page. The warning bar brought me directly to the optin page of the landing page, again I didn’t have a chance to read the damn sales page.

Now at the bottom there was a time counter saying if you do not act now and grab this report for free, it will direct me to a page where I have to pay $9.97 for it. I actually waited for the timer to expire to see if it was a legit timer and not those timers that just count and it did re direct me to the order page of the free report. Well all I did was just hit the back button and counter restarted itself, now if it was cookie enabled that would be the best! (thats my Idea Rob!)

The only problem is his counter is at the bottom, I would imagine you are able to move the timer around where you want, because what if I never scroll all the way to the bottom, I stop mid way on the optin page and I never see the footer? I would never know about the counter.

Well, over all this little script catches the attention of the reader but will it annoy the readers or buyers? I know when I had my contest and I had the warning bar it did create an annoyance to some, but it converted well.

Do I use these tactics on my sales page, yes. But not all at once, because I too am a buyer and all of those scripts would definitely annoy me. Each an everyone of his scripts can be easily found and bought for free or under 7$ each. His system is for marketers that do not want to do that additional work (10 minutes), it is in one whole package for users to chose and change. Again, each of his tactics are all old and have been used and have been proven to work, but put them all in a basket may lead to annoyed readers. If you want to listen to the teleseminar I listened to you can do so here: BuyNowWizard with Don Morris and Rob Toth.

Last night I was listening to Perry Marshall and Ari Galper webinar, speaking about “The Death of the Sales Letter.” This was very interesting because they state the internet is being flooded with Sales Letter, which I think it is especially in the Internet Marketing Niche.

Ari, says that marketers spends days or months on caves trying to figure out what the customer wants to hear and what their needs are, always trying to make it different from their last sales letter. It is true, I too sometimes sit down for a good day trying to figure out what the customer wants to hear and read in order for me to grab their attention and maybe become a potential buyer.

The problem with these sales letter these days is that for some reason it gets longer and longer before you actually reach the guarantee or the buy now button. Would you mail someone a 100 page sales pitch? If so would you think that customer would read it thoroughly?

The answer is probably not.

So why would you want to create a sales page that is so long that you it takes 2 minutes just to scroll all the way to the bottom? Especially with tons and tons of testimonials and pictures. My sales letter and short and simple and directly to the point. You can visit them on Jonathan Legers $7 Offer website, or you can just click my eBook on the right hand side.

But the webinar was interesting as it pointed some good points.

There is no interaction with the customer

It takes days to figure out a sales pitch

There are no visual live stats as to why a customer would leave

Unable to predict what customer want

Can not explain in depth the guarantee

There are more but I think these are the strong points of the webinar from last night. The most interesting part to me and I can say is he mentioned no interaction with the customer. Ari is selling a product for within the sales page, a chat room to interact with customers.

As we approach web 2.0, interaction is becoming more popular. So this is a good approach for the sales letter. Customers want to know th information NOW not 1 minute later while scrolling through images and testimonials.

Ari Galper introduces, Chatwise!

This complete program teaches you everything you need to know about the subtle nuances of using live chat on your website to improve your online sales conversion rate. It’s based on a no-pressure selling mindset that immediately creates trust with your visitors so they feel more comfortable buying from you.

Funny thing is, live chat has been around for a while, but it’s mostly used for customer service purposes.

Using it as a pure selling tool has not worked well for many online businesses because they apply ‘offline’ traditional sales approaches to live chat, a highly sensitive medium.

One wrong word or phrase, use of canned responses, or pre-mature action to “go for the sale” can turn visitors off instantly, making them leave your site and never return.

ChatWise solves this problem by overlaying a no-pressure trust building approach to live chat that makes your visitors feel comfortable buying from you.

As Ari points out on his website, the real secret of online conversion is to shift away from trying to “make the sale” to creating trust with your visitors so they’ll tell you the truth about what’s on their mind.

So after listening I attempted this chat system in the past with forum members to help each other out and try to grow as a team, this was a failure. But this system looks real positive, its a simple yet powerful way to interact with customers and users.
Ari even lists 5 myths about the Sales Letter:

Myth #1. The Perfect Sales Letter Will Solve Your Conversion Problem

If you have an online business, then you know that having the perfect sales letter is all you’re supposed to need to convert visitors to new sales, right? Then why does your “perfect” sales letter only convert 1 or 2 out of every 100 visitors? You’ll need more than “salesmanship in print” to improve your conversion rate.

Myth #2: All You Need is a Great Product or Service

Skepticism is rampant on the Internet. When you arrive on a website that sells products or services, do you immediately trust the owners of the site (if you haven’t purchased from them before)? Probably not. The Internet is a cold and lonely place for most online buyers. They want to TRUST who they want to buy from — and the best way you can build that trust is by interacting with them person-to-person. We all crave human contact and communication. If you’re not providing it, you’re not building trust — and your visitors will leave without buying.

Myth #3. You’ve Got to Try to “Sell” EVERYONE Who Lands on Your Site

Traditionally, as online entrepreneurs, we’re supposed to “go for the sale” with every visitor — like “hunters stalking our prey.” But that way of thinking ignores the fact that behind every “click” is a real HUMAN BEING who is looking to have their problem solved, not be SOLD. You’ll discover that finding the truth of whether your solution is really a fit for each of your visitors is a much more profitable objective than focusing on “making the sale.”

Myth #4. The Only Way to Get More Sales Is to Buy More Traffic

Sure, you can spend money buying targeted traffic to improve your conversion rate…but that doesn’t really fix the problem, does it? It just ignores the “holes” in your “bucket” – specific sales roadblocks on your site that you can’t see. But your visitors see and experience them – and leave. Why pour more money into your online “store” when you still end up getting a low conversion rate? Plug up the holes in your sales process, and you won’t need to spend another dime on new traffic to improve your conversion rate.

Myth #5. 100% Automation = 100% Sales Success

We’ve been told we should automate everything, but we’ve never been told that this can be the kiss of death for sales. Why? Because it means you’re automating OUT talking to your visitors in real time. Communicating comfortably with visitors before they purchase gives you insights you would never get otherwise. Most online marketers use statistics and trends they collect AFTER the fact, when it’s too late and the sale is gone.

You see all these myths which seems to be true, but I believe with ChatWise, the internet sales letter is changing into a more interactive environment!

If you want to listen to the webinar that I joined last night, you can grab the mp3 here.

Last night at 8pm I joined into a teleseminar hosted by Rick Raddatz. Its funny because I was on another teleseminar just 2 weeks ago. Guess what both teleseminars promoting the same thing, teleseminars!

I do not understand this, teleseminars are a thing of the past. Business use it to create conferences from different countries. I guess now since the era of WEB 2.0 is being so popular they think its going to be a great attribute in our day and age and future.

Here is a small snippet from an article from Richard Reichmann:

“This means instead of speaking to a crowd of maybe 5,000 to 7,000 at a time, they can potentially be speaking to millions of people all over the world. Why be on the road for two or three days at a time when it can be done with a telephone?

For the educational system, it?s even better because it draws in more students. Why is that? It?s a time factor in most cases. For the potential student who did not have the funds to go to college right out of high school, it?s a way to get that education they so desperately want. This student is working full time, may be married and may even have a family.

Distance learning gives these students an opportunity to take classes when it?s convenient for them, or at least to be able to take the classes without having to worry about family matters such as finding a babysitter.”

Well I kinda agree.

Why? Well there is so much information out there we do not have the time to actually read all of it and search through it, deciding if its good information or if its crap. With a teleseminars you get to announce and provide more information with your visitors, than providing them a long sales letter, which they may close after reading the 3rd paragraph. Also these teleseminars provide interaction. Last night, Rick was giving away SegWay Scooters, Memberships, Vacations, etc. Also during the call visitors or members of his list were asking questions, while they were speaking about how beneficial teleseminars are.

Its a good thing Rick has a customer service rep to help with those questions and provide feedback to him.

The interesting about last night teleseminar and the one I joined 2 weeks ago was, the one 2 weeks ago I had to dial in and Rick Raddatz’s seminar was online, via web! I was given the option to chose my own player and it would play via the web. The interface was very simple, chose your player, questions and answers, product info page, screenshots, etc. Everything on the web interface was straight to the point.

Now I like the fact that I was able to just go on the internet and listen, just like a radio stream. There was no lost connection either, I am on cable. I was thinking to myself wow this is great, I bet he was doing this seminar in his shorts!

That is the great thing about it, I go to seminars and the speakers dress up and are great speakers! With a teleseminars anyone can do it, just because you can be yourself. You do not have to dress up, since you can have a headset on, cooking, vacuuming, and host your seminar! Imagine that.

Well Last night seminar was only about 1 hour and the one 2 weeks ago was 1.5 hours long. Both gave out away prizes and free memberships. Again, since we are in an era of WEB 2.0 the world wants more communication, listening is easier than reading I guess.

Here are some aspect to joining a teleseminar and how to interact with them respectfully.

1. Read the sales letter or announcement for the teleseminar carefully. You want to make sure the content and the people speaking are a match for your interests. The only time I was ever disappointed was when my expectations were not met – and when I re-read the sales letter I found out what I expected was not explicitly mentioned.

2. Don’t be afraid to take advantage of the multitude of complimentary teleseminars being offered. Yes, each will end with a sales pitch.

3. If they ask for questions before the teleseminar, send in a question. No matter how hard you have to think, come up with a good question. Many times the host is looking for good questions to get the discussion started, especially at the start of a call, so your question is more likely to be used on the air if you get it in early.

Here is the Replay from last night TeleSeminar by Rick Raddatz: http://instantteleseminar.com/?eventid=15150
