I don't really see "Izea" as "re-branding" ... I think PPP just got bigger and bigger and they needed a "company" name to encase all the projects they are working in ... including PPP.

I trust Ted and his entire company, I don't pay much attention to what the "Jason Calacanis'" of the world have to say when they are being negative.

I'm really looking forward to IzeaFest!! I'm very excited to meet all the fab bloggers in person!

Glad to see you're coming to our event -- it'll be great to meet you in person.

$50.00 is definitely a great deal for exposure to the speakers participating in IZEAFest. Actually, last year our conference was free of charge to attendees...we were more concerned with offering them something valuable than making money. And we're still not concerned with making money, but in having a two-day event with such prominent speakers--and based on feedback from last year--we felt like $50.00 was reasonable. We're also working on partnering with some great advertisers as well.

We've negotiated some great rates with the nearby Courtyard Marriott, less than $100 per night. If you'd like to e-mail me you can and I can provide you with the information. It can also be found on the IZEAFest.com website at http://izeafest.com/lodging.html.

Oh, by the way, our event being one week before BlogWorld Expo is purely coincidental. In fact, I thought their event was in November again. The dates we chose were based on consumer feedback, as well as other considerations like kids going back to school, etc. :)

Looking forward to seeing you in September!

Very interesting idea. I really haven't looked into the whole BANS rage, but I can see now that the steady revenue can be very rewarding in the long term (after you get through with setup). Thanks for the tips!

Hi Ian!

Great tutorial! I have one question. About how many listings do you think one would need to list? I'm sure the more you list, the more traffic you'll get, but I'm just curious. Care to share how many you put up?
