Do Follow, is a plugin which will disable the automatic rel=”nofollow” attributes added to external links. Meaning that any comment that has a website URL listed in the URL box gets a link back to their site. I first saw this on several blogs, but I never new what it was. Until I saw a post on NiggyBuzz. He expects more interactivity within his blog, which I will agree. As we move into Web 2.0 commenting and interaction with other blogs is a good move.Meaning that any comment that has a website url listed in the URL box gets a link back to their site.

So what did I do I Googled “Do Follow”, and came back with several blogs and sites that explain what Do Follow will do. It will actually help and get your site spidered more frequent, since spider bots will follow the links on the page it is currently on.

So I found a good blog or a experiment Kumiko wrote. His website was experiencing low comments or no comments at all. One ways he tried to get more readers to comment was to create interaction between him and the reader. Several things include was to ask questions and create arguments. The last “quick fix” he added was to install the do-follow plugin. His blog simply states:

As for the Do Follow plugin, which was just installed, it will allow Search Engines to follow your web links to your website. Installing the ‘Do Follow’ plugin and removing the ‘no follow’ tag is one of the best ways to get readers to comment on your site, to create that interactivity with your blog.

Do Follow will definitely help your SEO and PR. If I have been reading correctly by letting others know you follow their links will allow and create an environment of readers and commenters.
