Yesterday I went and hung out with MonetizeIt, a division of MediaWhiz. for St. Patty’s Day. Interestingly enough St. Patricks day landed on a weekly gathering called Thirsty Thursday. Jordan hit me up beginning of the week seeing if I was doing anything Thursday and wanted to know if I wanted to see there new office.

A while back I wrote how I toured MediaWhiz office 2 years ago and now they have a bigger and nicer office, even though I did miss the balcony from their old. Also I do apologize that didn’t get a video of their new office or pictures, next time. I was starting the Patrick’s day early as were MonetizeIt.

Entering their new office, I can tell it is going to be much bigger than their other office. I walked in and simply just asked for my AM – Jordan. We took a quick tour of the office, which was a very nice and had a more professional style to it. They had an amazing view of the river and other scenic views. It definitely was a nice upgrade from their previous, again the office was pretty big and had a lot of room.

…. should have reserved my desk.

I met everyone from the MediaWhiz team as it is the parent company of other smaller company’s such as MonetizeIt, the affiliate network. We then just went in a back room and shoot the shit with Jordan and Dan. After a good talk we just started the tradition of Thirsty Thursday at MediaWhiz.

They had food, which I didn’t care for much. A couple of the MediaWhiz team had to leave as they also had their company basketball game going the same night.

I hung out for a bit and got my self acquainted with other team members of MediaWhiz. We put up some music and just had a fun time with friends. Basically shoot the shit with other team members, Dan, and Jordan.

As the day started to end and the night started, a couple others and I went ahead and went out for another drink. We went to a local bar and then across to another bar to get some more drinks and food. It was a fun fast paced night and I am definitely tired today. The night was definitely fun and enjoyed.

I want to thank Jordan and MediaWhiz for inviting me to their new office. I will have to get a video tour of their new office when I am over again. Apologize that I didn’t get it for this blog post.

Affiliate networks are still rapidly growing even with the new FTC rules and the rapid changes of the affiliate industry. Recently I was talking to Aaron my affiliate manager at YeahCpa and he gave me some insights about what their network is about and how they are going to be the different guys in the affiliate industry.

With the constant battle to get new affiliates or even get big affiliates to work with their network, YeahCpa has some interesting incentives which can bring out the small affiliates over and even encourage big publishers as well. One is their bi weekly payment options. This incentive is pretty attractive to almost all affiliates.

The reason is because we want to see our money as soon as possible. Most networks start all publishers at net 30 or even net 45. Some networks ask you make about $1000 a week to get paid weekly. At YeahCPA you get paid biweekl, every other week. Not bad. The sooner someone get paid the happier an affiliate it.

In regards to getting paid bi weekly, you can also get paid daily – even if you only made 20$! YeahCPA will pay you tomorrow, but it is base on 50 offers exclusive to their network. Getting paid daily with some networks requires a publisher to make several thousand. The lowest I have heard is to reach $1000 and you can request to get paid the next day. Other networks do it by lead, generate 1000 leads and you can get paid tomorrow.

According to Aaron they take a very small margin, meaning the publisher gets paid even higher. Most networks now take a very slim margin so they can provide the highest payout to their affiliates. This isn’t anything new to top publishers in the industry.

YeahCPA runs on the HasOffers tracking platform. There are several networks that run on the HasOffers platform and I personally think it is a solid platform. But Aaron has told me they are working on their own tracking platform, which is a plus in itself. This will give the network more control of what they need and what the publishers want.

Currently they have several hundred offers and are constantly adding everyday. I was talking to Aaron about mobile offers and he told me he will go out and find it for me. Now that is dedication to a publisher. If you are looking specifically for an offer, YeahCPA will go ahead and try to get that specific offer for you.

That is what I love about my circle of networks, they will go out and find it for me. Aaron will do the same for you, as long as the relationship between publisher and affiliate managers is strong. Nothing is more important than the relationship, because both are in the business to make money. Depending on each other is always a win win situation.

Growing their offers, adding about 30 new offers a week, they also are part of the HasOffers offer Exchange platform. This allows them to grow their list of offers even greater by exchanging offers with other networks, almost like brokering the offers. With more than 500 offers in their network and the constant need for more unique offers, YeahCPA is there to find the niche perfect for you.

Another amazing platform they are making is a program in which, the publisher can integrate offers into a landing page. Meaning the publishers are getting fixed landing pages and then adjusting the theme to their liking. While in creation Aaron told me they will have over 100 landing pages pre made and all a YeahCPA has to do is integrate the offers into the landing page. There is no need to create your own, test your own, find graphic artists, code the landing page, etc. YeahCPA is going to be providing that to you.

While it is still in the making, YeahCPA will have this tool exclusive to their publishers only.

Going into the new year, it seems YeahCPA has some new aspects they are going to be creating to get publishers into their network. Having a large inventory of offers does mean you can find your specific niche that no one else is doing. As well as being paid bi weekly is always a plus.

Check Out YeahCPA and see their immense inventory of offers.

Thinking about where I started in the affiliate marketing space and to where I am now, a lot of shit has happened and changed. Currently our industry is going through a phase and it is amazing how fast as affiliate marketers change their plans and how they react. With the FTC, Google Laws, Facebook changes, and networks not paying out – it seems we are getting a bit scarred with what is happening within our industry.

There has been a drop of ads in the continuity space. Literally every site I was on I saw a continuity ad for weight loss or teeth whitening. Currently affiliates are now weary of what network to do traffic with and what advertiser to trust. So many things has change that most affiliates has jumped ship,.

The big benefit to this is the real marketers are changing their business around. Focusing on their own marketing and expanding or expanding out of the continuity space and marketing the traditional dating ads and financial offers.

Affiliate marketers are one of the most versatile marketers out because we can change how we do business. Affiliate marketing gives us the tools and backbone to really know how to market online. We adjust so rapidly to change, every time Google shuts down one of our ads, we automatically go and figure out the reason and adjust.

If traffic drops or conversions drop, we go a head and test out a new landing page or ad copy. Our train of thought within the online space is so powerful, no wonder we as marketers are the most sought after people online and offline. With our industry dramatically changing a lot of affiliates, pub managers, networks, are also changing the way they do thing.

As affiliates we aren’t scarred of change, we learn to adjust our business and the way we do it. For example, my business is changing and I jumped into multiple aspects of marketing to expand my internet marketing and make it more versatile. Affiliate marketing teaches a person to market and understand the online space.

We are not just users who JV with people and try to get people to advertise for us, we know how to advertise, reason why we are on the top of the marketing chain when it comes to online marketing.

I love this space a lot because it definitely grew who I am and how I market my own products. I do not have to depend on people, when I can market my own product myself.

So even though the affiliate marketing space is drastically changing, surviving networks are still in the space doing what they do best, provide quality offers to their publishers. Affiliates are now expanding into different realms of marketing online and diversifying their offers and design of their landing pages. We are also expanding learning new traffic sources everyday and testing multiple times over.

Most affiliates are underground affiliates and are successful because they know affiliate marketing is always changing and we are always a step a head of what may and what will be. As an affiliate marketer myself I see the changes but I am not worried what it will do to my business.

It is about understanding what the new rules can do to you and thinking of ways to adjust to it. The FTC issue came about and we worried enough to take care of ourselves. Shady advertisers stop paying networks and put them in bankrupt while smaller networks got bought out or stop being profitable. Trustworthy networks and non shady ones are still standing strong because they understand the changes that has been happening.

I remember telling someone in a video interview, that this is what is going to happen – change is coming and it is changing for the good of our industry.

When I visited Eric at the Clickbooth office, I was invited to get a sneak peak of the brand new campus. It was a crazy day of just having fun an a brand new building. It had that new building smell to it. The unique part is the fact they have two big buildings. It was a nice day in Sarasota that we decided to do a Youtube Hollywood clip.

Below is the video we did at the new building. It took months to prep up for this part and a lot of acting practice. But I think I held it down and I did my thing. I am hoping to appear at the Grammy’s next year for “Best Affiliate Actor”.

Enjoy.

After Affiliate Summit there are a ton of networks that want to work with you. Prior to ASE though I have signed up to Clickbooth’s network. I was approach by Eric about the network and I told him my past issues with the network and how I applied 2 times and never got accepted. So taking one of my friends advice and a promise of a senior strategist, I joined.

It has been several weeks and I can say the support I personally get is great. The communication as well is amazing. Eric is a social media expert at Clickbooth and have written a guest post on this blog before. The post got a good response to it as well.

Brittany is my AM or Strategists they call themselves. So far she has provided me with a lot of respect and understand what I need, especially since they use Direct Track. Also another great part is I get instant access to some offers that I can’t get or won’t even be public to other publisher. While they are not exclusives, they do hold some offers for review before releasing it to the network.

While Clickbooth has been getting a lot of recognition, they are one of the top fastest growing companies and were recognized for it. According to Inc Magazine, they are ranked #5 in the nation! Now that is amazing. Being a CPA network company it can be hard to get such recognition from other top companies. Congrats to them

Now, while they are growing quite rapidly they have done a lot of things within their network. The other day I noticed their interface has changed. As you know there is a pretty default interface for Direct Track networks, well it seems Clickbooth manage to get around it and create a really nice interface with your stats ready to be viewed.

It is a very clean interface as you can see below.

As well with this recent change they have also upgraded their search functionality. You just type in the first letter of the offer you are looking for and it wil auto filter the drop down box for you. Now that is amazing. Eric has informed me that there are more changed coming soon and I can not wait, as so far everything is looking amazing.

Now with the amazing interface and great communication, what about the offers? They do have a lot of offers. The reason why I joined them when I first started affiliate marketing is to get access to the most offers possible. Well that didn’t work well, but now I am part of their network and they do have a lot of offers.

Brittany has helped me get access and she has recommended what works and what doesn’t base on my traffic. She is also working with me about some Direct Track issues. Very responsive and helping me get things situated. She has a great attitude online and off. Clickbooth has definitely leveraged themselves out of the traditional direct track networks, as well as keeping in communication with their publishers.

So working with them has been fun and entertaining. Take a look at their network and see for yourself!

The other day I talked about HasOffers. HasOffers is a system that helps you create a successful CPA network. Today, I have a result of HasOffers in the making. Tatto Media is a network which is a result of using the powerful system of HasOffers.

Now, I have been part of Tatto Media for a while and they were a very private network with a lot of their own offers. They have been around for 3 years and are now coming out publicly to affiliates and to our industry. They were in the works with advancing their own technology and it has allowed them to do a lot of new things.

They do have some neat features and the interface is just very clean. So let’s breakdown to what this network has to offer and how they stack up to everyone else.

Some pointers in which their system is different from the others are:

We have our own proprietary tracking system that we built from the ground up. So, no DT, no LinkTrust, etc. We have virtually zero problems that these systems do and we track very quickly/accurately. The interface is geared for affiliates, and is self serve. They can track their stats by: Impression, click, ctr, leads, epc, hour, sub, etc.

Additionally, Affiliates can place their own pixels into the system without needing AM help. It is a self-serve system.

We are a network and we are also an advertiser, so Tatto owns many of its own offers. That means higher ROI on in-house offers.

Weekly payouts via wire, check or paypal.

This was one of the networks that I joined which was not Direct Track or Link Trust. Of the many networks I am part of there are a few than can create their own system from the ground up. I like this a lot since they know what affiliates want. Since they were very private in the beginning they worked closely with their affiliates to fill in the void they were having and now have a complete system that is affiliate friendly

Another BIG feature I like is the ability to add my own pixels. This is a must for all network. The reason is I have too many scenarios where I would email my AM, hit them on AIM, or call them as a reminder to place my pixel. I even give (past) AMs the benefit of the doubt and give them a couple hours slack. In the end when the pixel isn’t place I get angry!

I want to run the offer now! If the pixel isn’t placed right I tend to not run the offer. Now with this feature, you can easily just put in the pixel yourself and be on your way. Make life easier. Again every network should have this.

Offers

They have 8 fixed categories in which they specialize in. One thing when they have a lot of is mobile offers and submit offers. They have a lot of their own mobile as I would go to this network to see what mobile offers they would have.

The other popular category seems to be the health. It seems with Acai craze, they have also jumped on the band wagon. But they have a good variety of other health related offers that can be easily promoted. The payout on some of the Acai is pretty similar across all the networks, but other health ones are at close to 50$.

Tracking

Since they are using HasOffers, the tracking is pretty clean along with the interface. It is pretty straight to the point and very easy to maneuver around and find the information you are looking for. I have had no issues with their tracking, as again it was pretty easy to use.

The thing I like is the data and information you need to know is on the dashboard once you login, makes life a bit easier by simply overseeing you data.

Overall

Tatto Media is a very good network and Michael is a great guy that wants to help affiliates. When I first joined, they are very strict with what kind of traffic you are sending to their offer. With me it was pretty straight to the point traffic via PPC ro Social Traffic. If I was going to do super high volume by other means, I would let him know, as they are looking for quality for both the advertisers and affiliates.

They definitely have exclusive mobile as they do own a lot of their own offers, for example some IQ offers you see are probably theirs. So you may want to check with them to get the highest payout possible since they own their offers.

Solid network. Visit Tatto Media.

Yesterday I was at Meetup202 NYC and it was a very big crowd, big ups for Copeac sponsoring Ryan Pamplin and Emily Thomson Meetup202 NYC. It was definitely a good meetup and made a lot of new connections and talked to a lot of people.

Getting there I was actually late, like 2 hours late. I finally got there and met up with Jon Fisher of WickedFire, Stanley, Thiago, Ryan and Emily. I was hoping to watch the basketball game at the bar but it was so crowded and everyone started talking to me and I just forgot about the game. ergh.

Anyways I met up with my main man Ad Hustler and updated each other on things. Plus I was hungry and they didn’t have food just finger foods, boo. I drank all night and everyone kept bringing me drinks, thats what happen when its open bar. But later that night we all went out to eat.

It was also interesting to see a lot of users came to me to talk about Twitter Snipe and twitter traffic. I was actually happy that it is out there for marketers and it is pretty known. According to Emily there was about 150 people that were at last nights meeutp. Also the most interesting part is there were non marketers there, cause they heard about a party.

So it was interesting to see non marketers there, also interesting to see more biz guys there too. So it was definitely a mix of people there and not just affiliates. I met a lot of new people and talked to my main affiliate manager Jeff, great seeing him.

I saw a lot of my NJ IANteract Meetup202 there as well. We talked about the mobile traffic I run and showed him how to be a bit profitable on mobile, since it can easily deplete your spendings in 1 minutes. Other than that it was interesting night and definitely was fun. There was a speaker as well, talked about old tricks that do not even work on Google. I do not know why big guys give advice that do not work, whats the point!

After the meetup Ad Hustler, myself, and several others went out to dinner with a couple investors I think I can call them. They treated us to dinner and talked more about business, one talked more about twitter traffic and the other about investing in affiliates. Interesting. By the end of the night I drank too much, talked to damn much, was definitely loud last night but had a great time.

Thanks to Ryan, Emily and Copeac for throwing a great meetup.

Video mashup of last night:

As the affiliate marketing industry grows and grows, more and more networks are rising and since most networks are all alike and can offer the same exact thing. High payouts, exclusive offers, weekly payments, etc. One network decides to attack it at a different level.

Elite Profits is a new CPA Network which aims it self at giving a lot of money back to their affiliates. Elite Profits is a fairly new CPA network, only just 3 months old they have a lot to offer to their affiliates. First, their site is very attractive and appeals to the audience, I mean who doesn’t like to see a sexy lady on the front page of a network.

…and their is a reason for that. I talk to Adam about his network and what separates them from the rest. He told me a lot of good things that I like.

Now if you notice on their main page, their is a swim suit model just hanging out in the middle of their site. This isn’t just an eye candy but a purpose, Bliss Bailey is a swim suit model and the reason why she is on Elite Profits home page is because they are doing a raffle to win the network’s commission. By this they simple mean the margin they earn off an offer.

For example, you are promoting an Acai offer and you are getting paid $30 per lead, well the network is making $32 on the offer. So the difference or margin is $2. Which means you earn their full profit on the specific offer. If you do 100 leads to the specific offer, that is an additional $200 for you to take home. So this does have it’s advantage.

I can say some affiliate managers will risk their margins/commissions just so I can run and continue the traffic on an offer, but it seems Elite Profits is risking the networks. So it does have a bigger benefit.

There is 2 ways which you can win the monthly margins from their network, which is very simple. The first is you have to earn a minimum of 500$ a month, if you do then you are entered in a raffle with everyone that has generated a minimum of 500$ as well. Then 3 lucky winners are chosen.

The second way to win is a similarity of the raffle but your a definite winner. All you have to do is earn a minimum of $1000. Once you reach that you get to take their margins. Its pretty simple and it is easy to do. So if you are doing volume and reach $500 or $1000 then you are entitled to get the networks margins, pretty grateful of the network.

One twist…

With the raffle, as I was talking to Adam to get a better understanding of their network. They are doing the raffles with swim suit models. Bliss Bailey as I mentioned, will be the first to pick out a winning raffle and they are going to do it live as well. Very Very catchy, I mean I bet more will log on to watch the models – still that is eyes on Elite Profits. Each month they will be doing a raffle they will be grabbing a new model to pick a winner. This networks definitely knows how to entertain.

Well enough of the entertainment, lets get into the network details.

Offers

They have a couple offers which almost all networks have. I did not see any offers that I have not already seen. But the offers they do have only are of the ones that are converting. So this is good, if you want to split tests offers on networks. I personally found the same exact offer will convert better on one network than another, not really sure why that is.

Also, caps. If there is a cap on an offer maybe another network that runs the same offer does not have a specific cap or probably worked out a contract with the advertiser of some sort. Sometimes caps are also universal which can not be phased by any network.

They have a variety of offers, nothing that really stuck out to me. The offers they are running are of what is currently hot out there.

Tracking/Reporting

Elite Profits uses Hit Path as their tracking system. This is a good alternative to Direct Track. Hit Path has a very clean user interface and easy navigation. Their API is easily accessible if you do decide to use it. Reporting and tracking seems to be in real time and gets log into their network rapidly. A definite plus.

The only thing I have with this network is all offers have to be requested, you can’t just start promoting the offer right away. You have to request the offer, I really don’t like this because I test a bunch of offers right away. Especially if I am in a rush to find an offer replacement I need that specific offer ready to go.

The reason they do this to protect their advertiser, they only want quality traffic and not spam traffic. Which I guess I can understand. But there are tons of ways to get traffic and you have to test the traffic. But you will have to fill out this mini form and give a reason how you are going to be promoting or driving traffic to it.

Communication

Adam, sounds like a solid guy. Base out of Connecticut they run their network with 4 other employees. Adam sounds like he really is having fun and is there to help. I mean he made a wall of post it that says “Get Money”! Great conversation with Adam about his network and I will definitely try to meetup with them at any upcoming conferences and if he is in NY

Yesterday I was out all day and it was a fun and entertaining day. Also it was my first time at baseball game. Let me tell you it was interesting. So early morning I got ready to head out to NY, where their office is located. It was fairly easy to find, the traffic in the morning was a monster.

Finally got in the city. Since I didn’t have any breakfast, I decided to stop in McDonald and have some bacon, egg and cheese on a biscuit. I relaxed for a bit because I was pretty early I think. After a bit I walked to their office and found it pretty easy. A couple blocks down from the bull in NY and I was there.

I got up to the 23rd floor of their building and took a snap shot of their Media Whiz logo. I finally met up with Ian Lerner, my AM from Media Whiz.

He took me around their office and it was pretty mall but they also had 2 sides and another floor upstairs. I guess once you piece all the sections together you do have bigger room. But it was a bit small. Their patio or balcony was a definitely party spot. It was a nice view and it was definitely big that you can easily fit a good amount of people on their balcony. They should host a meetup BBQ one time during the summer on their balcony, they can easily get a bunch of affiliates that way! (tip for Ian) I mean BBQ some drinks and good music. Easy.

After a quick introduction to everyone and a tour of their office. We went to the game and it was my first time at a baseball game. It was pretty interesting. Plus it was a nice day to be out of the house. I thought it was going to rain but it turned out to be a nice day. Ian and I met up with Benny and one of Ian’s other friend. (feels weird typing my own name on my blog)

At the game we grab some food, relaxed and chilled and just watch the game. It was interesting to see all the fans and we had great seats. Thanks Ian! During the game there was a lot of anger I guess the Mets were down and it was the last innings. The new stadium is beautiful and it looks like it was laid out nicely. The problem I had was the damn planes flying over from Laguardia airport. Other than that I had a really good time.

Video of the office and from the baseball game. It was so nice that I didn’t do a lot of video to pictures. I was definitely slacking. Again want to thanks Ian for taking me out and thanks everyone at Media Whiz I talked to! Also more photos located here.

Recently I got off the phone with a CEO of a new innovative affiliate network. This specific network is very unique in is own because of the interface, the interface alone is very intriguing at first but comfortable at the same time. Also, Brendan is part of a new affiliate network which I recently just joined, Advent. Advent seems fairly new I have never heard of this specific network prior but I was glad to join their network.

The way I found Advent was by a comment left by Brendan, CEO of Motive Interactive. It was a post I had created on all the t-shirts I received from Affiliate Summit. I then contacted him directly and he sent me a t-shirt. Soon after we went ahead and started to conversate, it began as one of those ‘affiliate contact’ talking about how they are better than the other network but soon digressed into some personal conversation. This is good because you need to blend in some personality with business, otherwise it becomes bland and I stop listening.

But today I have a video of what their affiliate network looks like. The reason why I am doing this is because after affiliate summit west I was hoarded with calls and email, specifically about joining a specific affiliate network. I also did a video on how many affiliate networks you should join. Since after joining X amount new ones, I wanted to go a head and get a test account. Most of the network did not provide a test account, they simply stated join and you can see for yourself type attitude – I hate that (force marketing). Brendan on the other hand provided me with a unique login to browse around the offers and their interface. This is how I will be showing you the interface of Advent.

I just joined this network and so far my overall experience is good. I have not been hassled by the network to hurry up and promote, but given the feeling ‘when you are ready to promote we are here to help’. Luke my account manager is another great person and brother of Brendan, so both has helped me out a lot with just discussion of their network, when you talk to these guys you get a good feel of the network because it is the people running the network. If you have a bad experience with a the people from the network your overall experience of the network is poor.

Let’s Dive into Advent…

Interface:

The interface of Advent is very clean and beautiful. It is clean and easy to navigate; there is no fluff of what is being shown. You are automatically introduced with your stats since to me stats is what I look for right away when I login. Below your visual stats are the offers you are watching. By the way the interface of this network is built on a sophisticated Ajax System. Everything loads right in front of you. There is no need to reload pages or redirect you to parts of the dashboard, your dashboard is alive!

The fact that you can just navigate easily within your dashboard says a lot about the company. They really put a lot of thought on what is important to the user and their affiliates. The video will show you a very nice clean interactive dashboard.

Offers:

There is a lot of offers but some networks have more, I could not really find a specific category they are in. Usually a network has more offers in a specific category because they tend to do better with a specific offer. Advent shows a lot of strong and high converting offers, examples: SinglesNet and LifeLock. I assume they concentrate on high converting offers, which is really good. They do have some limited offers but these offers are popular among other networks since it is high converting and well known.

Payouts:

Along with the offers you want to look at the payouts. Though there are lower payouts than other networks, my specific offers I am currently promoting. For example: SinglesNet is lower than other networks that I see, but again Brendan or your account manager will match or even beat the other networks. They will even risk dipping into company funds to give you a better and higher payout.

Some networks will not even dip or match because you are not providing the volume or making X amount in one day. These networks have rules and standards for specific offers. Advent will help work out a resolution with you and or beat the offer payout of the other network. Risking the company earnings to give you a higher payout gave me the concept they want to keep their affiliates happy.

Video Overall:
