I just downloaded this keyword research app for my iPhone and I thought I would do a review and share it. It is a pretty straight forward app and it provided some very good results, like really good results. Keyword research is important, if you are on the go this is a great app for just traditional online marketers. It is a very simplistic app but it provides you with amazing results.

Above, I did a video review of the app because I thought it needed t be reviewed from a user point of view. Apparently, the video didn’t come out with its best quality – so this post is born with some screenshots from my iphone. Here are some screenshots of the keyword “lose weight”.

The first shot is the traditional keyword report. The report shows you the keyword searched, the CPC, competition factor, results, and visual bars. It is a quick overview of the keyword.

The next screenshot is the related keyword report. Keywords that are related to your original or seed keyword. The results it pulls is amazing. It doesn’t pull 50 results or 100. It looks like it is pulling about 1000 keywords. Will have to ask Corey to confirm but it def pulls in a lot of keywords. Also the results that it pulls is amazing, some really amazing long tail keywords.

I believe the 12 month trend starts at January to December, I have to confirm with Corey as well but looking at this specific keyword “lose weight” December – February is a very popular month for users to try to lose weight. So I def believe the 12 month trend starts from January and ends at December.

Just like the seed/original keyword, each keyword has volume data, the CPC, competition, and search results.

The other part that i like especially if you are on the go is you can email yourself some of these keywords to your personal email or to anyone you want to. For example, since I do travel, I can email specific keywords to my VAs and tell them to target these targeted keywords etc. Which is I think crucial especially if you are on the go.

The app is very simple and straight forward. It just produced amazing keywords which is great. I can go from this app to my domain app and register a keyword domain all on my iPhone. Love technology.

Want to download this app, Scan the QR code below and get the app on your iPhone right now. I use the Red Laser app to scan barcode, but you can literally use any bar code scanner on your phone. It should be able to decipher the code and then forward you the the link to download this amazing app.

So many keyword tools out there and your all confused on what to chose. I have been wanting to write this post a while back but I just didnt have time or it was just delayed or I was side tracked, or I didn’t want to share this crazy tool to you guys. But this keyword tool is one crazy motherfricker! It is called Keyword Rockstar.

Now I talked a lot about other keyword tools and I have my thoughts on others while I support a lot of really good ones. Today, I have this other crazy tool that does almost all the tools out there. It expands off the Google Keyword tool and does even more.

Jon Shugart has created this crazy keyword tool that does what most of the keyword tools does. The problem is with these multiple keyword tools, they either focus on one thing or several other smaller features. But Keyword Rockstar has multiple functions and does a hell of a lot of work.

When Jon hit me up to grab a copy before anyone else, I was hesitant because I already had a great selection of keyword tools I use. Then again, Keyword research is all base on someone else’s experience and how they go about doing it. So I decided to see how Jon thinks when he does his keyword research. I grab a copy and started playing with it. First of all Jon is a great technical and provides superb support when I needed it.

The software itself is a downloadable file and it runs on your PC. Now, this keyword system is meant for users who use Google AdWords a lot. It also looks very complicated but it really isn’t. There is a step by step way to go and use this system. But it does a bunch of things that all the keyword tools do:

Keyword research (Google Adwords)

A bit like a campaign builder

Competition spy

Keyword analyst – in depth usage of a keyword

banner generator for GCN

Find sites to target for GCN

Keyword Rockstar uses the data from Google Keyword Tool and then excavates them, to find you perfect keywords. It also rotates and re populates the list, always growing your keywords and always finding your long tail keywords that makes senses. Now the best thing about this app it is base on real time stats. So it finds ads that are running currently and will give you a 6 month back trend of how the keyword performed.

So this is a very ultimate keyword platform tool. I talked and speak of other tools highly, this is another tool that I will be speaking of highly as well. There is also a bunch of filters you can chose from base on the type of results you want. This make things a bit easier for you to start seeing the type of keywords that will make you money instead of filtering out through a bunch of keywords.

With the filters giving you can:

Get Adwords Stat

Total ad count and see the 1st page ads

Availability of Placement (GCN)

Commercial Intent (if you do not know what this is go to MSN Labs) A great plus!

Their Own Rockstar Ranking

Once you decide the filters and see what you want to look at, you get to go in depth with the system. You get to dig deeper and see the ads, see the keywords, see the site targeted sites. It has a lot of information even it has done a TON of work. This system even has proxy support!

The system also has a campaign builder! I haven’t used it as I use my own campaign builder platform. But I think I may start to use it since it is an all in one platform. Literally, it is. It is like having a melting pot of keyword tools and campaign builders at your finger tips. Though having too many eggs in one basket can be a bad thing, I think Jon has thought this all out and created a perfect software for PPC search marketers.

So when running this you will have to just turn on your PC let it run and just let it run until it completes it’s task. The tasks are base off the filters you are providing to it. If you start using it out of the box, it will run forever. Again, this is another tool I will be using and talking about and recommending in the near future.

As you can see it looks very complex, but it really isn’t. Jon has a great tutorial on how his software works and is only limiting users to his keyword tool system. If you are really interested in his keyword platform let me know as I can def work something out with Jon about his keyword tool, if you are seriously going to use it.

Soon I will have Jon on a podcast to talk more indepth about this and maybe do a webinar about it as well. Not sure yet, but the podcast is a definite thing I want to do with Jon.

Last time I talk about keywords was when I was using my whiteboard and giving a basic training on it. It was my first time and it was hard to see what I was writing. So today, I have a very visual way to show you how to expand your keywords without really thinking, it is called the Google Wonder Wheel.

This is such a powerful tool that I didn’t ever want to post about it. But I see all these other blogs posting about it why not. Plus they just show you 1 way to use it. I know several ways to use it and I will show you an extra way to use it.

The difference with this post and the others is that it is not going to be an introduction video to use he wonder wheel but I can show you where to find an extra set of keywords using the wonder wheel. So enough talk and lets just get into the basic breakdown of the wonder wheel.

What is the Wonder Wheel?

The wonder wheel is a way to display relevant search terms base on your main search. Clicking on each newly geneated term will provide you with a new relevant search term base on the keyword inside the main bubble.

So that is what it means. With the video I made helping explaing how to expand keywords, well Google does this for you and it is base on their data they have. Which is cool because it is less research for you and more importantly you do not have to think. SO that is a plus.

What can you benefit from this? Well simple newly targeted keywords that you can use. Each time you click on a keyword that keyword is some how related to teh first keyword you started with. For example in the video you will see that I started off with “weight loss.” I went about 4-5 deep with the wonder wheel and those keywords will related to the main set of keywords some how, no matter how general it is. Some how they are related and related for search!

Now you have a set of keywords from google search that you can start using. Now I want to show you that I can show you a whole new range of keywords by using the wonder wheel on a different site such as YouTube. Since YouTube is part of Google, they have implemented the wonder wheel within their system.

The best part about this is that you will get 2 different set of keywords with different depth levels. Also the reason you are getting such a different set of search terms is because YouTube’s search patterns differ from Google’s traditional search. So this gives you a big advantage in gathering more types of complex keywords that you may not think of.

The video below will show you the Wonder Wheel in both Google and YouTube, showing you 2 different set of keyword results.

Click here to view the embedded video.

One being that since youtube viewers search differently than Google searchers then you will get different results. Different results means different keyword phrase that are related to your main search terms. This gives you a leverage over others since you can start using this data to expand within Google search and use the wonder wheel to find more relevant words.

Hope the video was good!

When you do affiliate marketing or any type of marketing online you need targeted keywords. This is crucial because if you just put your website out on the internet, how can users find you? The internet revolves around search engines, meaning we type in a phrase or keyword to find our content. This basically finds us the sites we want to go to.

Now, sometimes there are keywords that are so targeted but it is so general. When users talk about keyword research they throw in a general keyword in the Google Keyword Tool and use what they suggests. Now, google’s tool is very helpful and does give you synonyms of keywords and keywords that relate to it. But what if we can find very general keywords that are out of the regular norm?

It is fairly easy and it only takes about 5 minutes of your time. First you think of a general keyword of your niche. Then you simply just expand out of it. You simply just take your general keyword and think of the firs keywords or phrase that comes to your mind.

Now you have at least 6 ‘legs’ of new keywords which are probably still very similar to the original keyword. Now, with those 6 new keywords expand on those keywords. You want to think about that keyword and not think about your original keyword plus the new keyword leg. So for example you thought of ACAI, a keyword leg would be diet pills. What comes to mind when you just think of diet pills?

You keep doing this for each new leg and expand out, what you will notice that the most outer keyword will not be similar to the original keyword you started out with. BUT you will notice that their maybe some type of similarity. For example when you do Acai, a leg might be Oprah, then a leg of that would be celebrity. So you can see Acai may relate to celebrity but it so out of the norm that most likely it wouldn’t be used. The point is to generalize and find keywords that can trigger some type of action with little competition or even saturation.

I did a video with my new whiteboard that I bought on exactly what I said, it is easier to visualize what I am talking about. Also, I want to start doing these white board training sessions as well. Let see how that does. Also this is my first one and you can’t really see my drawing, so I bought a darker marker to test out on the next video.

The video explains to just think what comes to mind first and generalize. You want to think about the keyword leg and not the original keyword plus the keyword leg. So this way you think about one keyword and you never know the outer most keyword can be your most profitable keyword.
