When you think of traffic sources, you usually just think about Facebook and Google. The only problem is there is so many new ways to reach users. Mobile networks has been a great way to get new users internationally. Recently push notifications have been annoying me lately on multiples sites.
I do not even have a push notification on this blog. What is Push Notification??
A push notification is a message that pops up on a mobile device or desktop. Bloggers and writers can send them at any time; users don’t have to be in the app, on the website, or using their devices to receive them.
MegaPu.sh allows advertisers to send ads via the push notification network. Advertisers or even bloggers can get more views on their posts. This sounds like a perfect way to get users attention on an ad.
Understanding a push notification on a mobile device, it acts as a popup and definitely hard to ignore. This is how it will look on a mobile device, locked screen! Banner blindness I do not think exist with this type of traffic.
In any type of marketing you need to get the attention of the user, get them to be interested in your creative, get the click, allow them to take action. With push notification, it pops right on their phone, pretty hard to escape their eyes.
Hopefully, the creatives are intriguing enough that the user clicks on through to the offer or landing page to convert over.
On their main website, they list the demographics of their traffic network. I found it intriguing that it is more males that wants to get push notifications. Also found it interesting that literature is a big interests.
It makes sense because blogs and news sites are the ones I notice who has these push notifications.
Take a look below..
The age is also what interests me, 32% 45-54 years, as I try to advertise to 40 years above. Then again it is all about the offer and angle I am pushing.
Listed Case Studies
Traffic sources are all god but is it any good? MegaPu.sh knows this and that affiliates will question the quality. A lot will stick to the high quality of Facebook and Google, so MegaPu.sh has some case studies to share.
International Dating Case Study
The affiliate here use a pre lander to verify the age and used 5 different images to get the attention. His results turned profit:
- Spent: $51.65
- Received: $64.26$
- Profit: $12.61
Very impressive as dating now a days has gotten pretty hard more recently. According to their interests above, it is more males and dating is 15% of their traffic. It does make sense that dating can improve in conversions.
Bitcoin Offer on Deposit
This affiliate decided to tackle the Poland geo and send them a bitcoin offer where he gets paid on deposit. I find these cpa on deposits to be tough and tricky to convert. You do not know when they will deposit.
Targeting only Android mobile devices and desktops. Used a very basic image of just the bitcoin logo. Here are his stats after 5 days:
- Price per click: $0.014
- Expenses: $33.25
- Payment: $250
- Income: $216
- ROI: 651%

My Turn to Test this Traffic Source
Pretty impressive numbers on these case studies. I am going to test it myself and see what to push on MegaPush and see if I can get these same numbers.
Over the next couple of days, I am going to set up my own campaign. I will either do gambling as well or dating. I will figure out which one I want to do and then post the results. This way you can see the backend and the interface of their platform.
If you want to check it out now, you can easily sign up to their network and start browsing around. It seems that the clicks are cheap and provide high-end quality.
The quality of the traffic should be high as you have to accept the push notification from the website you are on.
I will update you soon once I run the traffic and see what the results I get. I am definitely curious.
