Anstrex vs Adplexity: 5 Differences Anstrex is a Versatile Ad Spy Platform

When it comes to ad spy tools, there are many out there that you can use. Even Facebook decided to expose all the ads from their advertisers publicly as well. With tools out there to help your campaigns, Adplexity is one I have written about, it can be hard to choose. Here is another one with an even bigger database and more ad networks to spy on.

Anstrex. Today, I am going to go through 5 things that stuck out to me and why Anstrex has the data to help you create a better and even faster profitable campaign.

Let just start by saying they have more data than the competition. Now, you probably won’t advertise on all the networks and maybe just the tier 1 traffic sources, but when it comes to comparing and scaling you may want to see what is out there.

Even just looking at the country data is important, having more access to countries to spy on is another way to scale a campaign. The biggest importance I think is the database. Having more ads doesn’t mean you will find profitable campaigns but seeing variations of what was tried and failed is I think important.

Just to be clear, this is comparing Adplexity Native and Anstrex ad tool spies on native networks.

So let us break down the 5 things why I think Anstrex is more versatile than Adplexity. To do a real comparison all the screenshots will be from the same ad on the same ad network.

Access to Publisher/Widget Data

Adplexity only shows the top 10 publishers.

Anstrex shows all the publishers.

What you do with this data is up to you. Having this data means you can do several things, you are not limited. For example, I would probably tell my ad manager – I want to advertise on these sites/widgets only.

Or you want to advertise on sites/widgets that are only above 5% of traffic. Maybe you want to ignore the high volume websites and advertise on just the majority of the widgets for cheaper CPC? Having all this data can allow you to think creatively on how you want to work with your ad manager and where to advertise.

Within Anstrex, you can even sort each column to see the data you want. The interesting part is the Alexa rank. I haven’t used Alexa rank in a very long time, this piece of data might be interesting for you.

Another part is if you want to provide your ad manager the websites to blacklist or whitelist, you can filter the list of publishers by the traffic sources. Anstrex lists the publishers where it found the domain on, so you may want to filter it just by the traffic source and add them to your black/whitelist campaign.

Here is an example of export widgets which you can create a blacklist or white list instantly.

Having this data Anstrex tries to build a competitive picture and not take any data away from you, in the end, it is up to you on how you want to manipulate the data. I think this is one of the most powerful features Anstrex has.

13 Advanced Search Filters

Now it does look advance because it took me a bit away on my first glance. After going through the knowledge base, I was able to fully utilize this search to my criteria.

Since Anstrex has so much data you need a way to filter what you want to see. This advanced search feature shows you what you want to explore. Here is what I like about it:

  • Search within ad titles
  • Create bulk rules, you are not limited to just one search function.
  • Save your search
  • 13 Search filters to go through, Adplexity has 7

The most powerful I think is the rules. If you are familiar with click tracking rules, then this is no different. You can easily, search for health ads, in this country, between these dates, coming from this URL only.

That is powerful. You can essentially, spy on just one affiliate if you want to.

One thing I do like is creating a base search, so you essentially can save a ‘template’ of your base search and critique later or add on later.

Custom Ad Alert System

In conjunction with the advanced search, you can turn your filters into alerts. Whenever Anstrex sees any new ads that match your alert input, Anstrex saves that data for you.

The difference I notice is the synonyms filter. I think this is pretty unique since it will find ads with your main keyword and then if checked, will find ads that are similar to your target keyword.

Once you create your alert filter, you can get emailed daily with the results, multiple times a day, or never. Just log in and check the results on your own.

Powerful Landing Page Ripper and Optimizer

I think this is the major key (Dj Khaled voice) that separates Anstrex and Adplexity. Instead of just downloading the HTML file from Adplexity, Anstrex outputs the file in an inline editor so you can edit it further.

This means that you do not have to edit it on your Mac. Simply just edit within Anstrex itself.

This screenshot, show an editor which you can edit the page on. I even edited the text in real time and it kept the style of the page. It did not break.

You can even work in the raw HTML if you are a developer or know a bit of HTML. The next step is pretty cool because of the code optimization. Speed is important when it comes to a landing page. So Anstrex understands this and will minify the code for you if you wish.

The final step is to just upload it to your server. No need to ever download the code on your Mac. Anstrex will download it, you can edit it in real time, and finally, upload it to your server.

Now once you upload it or download the landing page you just ripped, it will automatically be deleted from Anstrex server after 24 hours.

Pricing is Welcoming to All Marketers

Anstrex is affordable for everyone. At full access, it is only $59 a month. Adplexity for Native is $249 a month. Anstrex also has more data than Adplexity. If you are a beginner then Anstrex is affordable on its own. You can easily make the cost back by finding the right ad and the right place to advertise on.

Noob or expert, the tool has tools in itself to help you become a better marketer. The best part is it has a 2-day risk-free trial, so you can sign up and log in to test out the features I just pointed out.

Remember this is a tool, it will not make you a super affiliate overnight. Even though it does have more data, you have to understand how to utilize that data to your advantage. This is a tool, it can help you along the way to your affiliate success.
