When I first started online, I started with ebay. Basically selling things out of my house to first fund myself, which then I started buying bulk inventory form Alibaba.
This is still a huge business today. I want to try my hand at it again. Ofcourse there will be competition but at least I do not think I have to buy traffic to such place.
What is eBay Arbitrage? Simple, just selling items on eBay for more than what you bought it for.
Shopify stores are cool but you have to buy traffic, where as eBay already has it. I will probably still end up creating like a lander for all my eBay listings but that is really it.
Why this shift? I want to add some other items to my ‘egg basket’ that will not take too much time. (I think anyways) So I am simply just expanding the revenue that comes in.
With ad traffic getting a bit more strict and bid increases ever increasing, I want to ad something more secondary to my portfolio of online revenue.
Being overseas, a lot of people are doing something similar, just arbitrage selling. eCom is a huge market – everyone is trying to find the deal and the internet is so vast that people will only go to specific websites to buy. I do not think, people spend hours searching.
With Amazon being a huge deal in the future I think, eCom is just going to get easier for the customer to find what they want – they will flock to just the major outlet stores online and other extensions like eBay and Amazon.
The Shopify guy will still make it but it will be all about brand marketing. Not sure if one off stores will still be making it but it is all how you market your product right.
Just wanted to have a ramble about that as I have been doing a lot of Youtub’ing on this topic and it seem feasible to do. Again it was the first dollar I made online and I think I should go back to my roots.
