So I was reading this article on IMNewsWatch.com about this new so called innovation. It is another form of advertising which is similar to PPC (pay per click) but this new system plays a 5 second audio-mercial. It is funny because I also received a couple emails about this new system asking to join and test out the system - with referral links ofcourse.
Ok so about this PayPerPlay thing - I was reading the landing page and found it to be a pretty bad idea. This PPP idea is made by NetAudioAds. It plays a small snippet of audio-mercial once a page loads for about 5 seconds. Do they give the option of pressing play to hear the audio, right now I think it does it on autoplay and I know that will be very annoying really fast.
NetAudioAdsâ„¢ Pay-Per-Play (PPP) advertising is an advertising channel that is set to take the web by storm. Because of the size and scope of this deal (backed by one of the BIG 5 search engines), PPP advertising will become a world wide business media event.
PPP works on a bid management system similar to Google AdWords and will compensate publishers just like Google AdSense but with one critical difference
Charles from NetAudioAds is releasing this unique but annoying advertising which is backed up by one of the 5 major search engines so he says. But if this is set on auto play I think it will be intrusive even if it is for 5 seconds, I would rather opt to play the ad or not. Similar to Adsense Videos, I opt to play the video or not.
Adjacent to this PPP, I have been receiving emails about this new system a couple actually. It is a good thing I have a ticket system. But I found it to be annoying because these emails were just written in hopes that I would join under their referral ID. While some bought domains with redirects, others with tiny url, and other just showing the affiliate link. Well I Googled some of the names and emails and found some interesting facts.
Xfep, which received the same email and which came up #1 for one of the names, received the same email from a person that is not networking properly but just acts as a damn spammer.
None of these people tried to build relationships with me, they didn’t give me the option to sign up without using their referral ID, and they are just plain old spammers in my book.
This is true, no one attempted to try to network with me but sell something. I know I am going on the fact of WIIFM (Whats In It For Me) but if you are promoting, try to make it sound personal and at least try to care what I will think when I read about a poor and soon to be annoying service.
I think Charles of NetAudioAds has a good concept, just hope he makes it optional to listen to this audio ads, because if I get on a website with audio-mercials I will definitely just leave the website. This is another reason why intelligent people suck. I know it is a good idea, but add some features to help the user experience not annoy them.
