There are a lot of new push traffic networks popping up. In the ongoing to give you guys and gals the latest information on who to work with, I have been doing these traffic case studies and breaking how I run traffic on these push networks.
Today AdOperator is a native traffic network and they have push on their platform. This is the source I will be testing as I have been on a push exploration lately.
As usual, I go to Anstrex and try to see if they are listed as a traffic source. I try to always spy on ad campaigns to see what is working. Not all traffic is created equal.
Currently, AdOperator is not on Anstrex and so I will merge some of my other campaigns that have been working on other push networks and see if they are converting.
Let us create a campaign. It is pretty straight forward to create a campaign on AdOperator. You simply just...
- Name your campaign
- Enter your tracking URL
- Push Title and the Description
- Upload a logo and image.
That is it. Straight forward, the only issue I have is that you can not test multiple creative per campaign like other push networks. You have to create a new campaign for a new creation. One other issue is with the image. You can not auto resize the logo or body image. You have to resize them prior to uploading it to AdOperator.

Once that is done, you set your budget and then optimizations. You chose your country when to display, the frequency cap, etc.
Internal Push Data and its Overall Stats
I forgot to mention, AdOperator push traffic is all internal. This means they own their push data and have control of the quality. It is hard to find a source that owns its own push traffic.
You can actually see this in their rate card on the backend. The rate card within AdOperator shows you the impressions you are going to be potentially getting and shows the average CTR of at least 1%. This does get updated all the time as their database grows and more advertisers advertise.
You can see what the average CPC is going to be as well. This is all transparent to you on the backend, which is good to know how much traffic you can potentially get from a specific country.

Creating that IP List
One important factor with AdOperator is you should definitely create an IP list. The IP list is important because you can let AdOperator know if this is a blacklist or a whitelist.
Currently, I set it to a Blacklist, meaning to avoid these sets of IP addresses. I have a really good account manager and she helps me with the IP list as well as what I get from my tracker.

Currently on my first $100 - I have not converted as I have been filtering out a lot of IPs. This is why it is crucial to create an IP list of bad IPs so you do not advertise to those IPs every again, especially when you create new campaigns. Make sure you have a solid tracker that records everything.
I am constantly talking to my rep about the traffic and what needs to be done. I will continue to test AdOperator and see what I can do on it. I will probably discuss with my account manager to see what else they see that is working and I will try to replicate the campaign as well.
When I have more data points to discuss, I will create another post on what I have been doing and testing.
