Becoming a Seasonal/Part Time Affiliate...

By Ian Fernando

This has been on my mind a couple times now and I want to see where I am at. The past 2 posts from of Jonathan Volk, Fail, Fail, Fail and Profit vs Time are 2 great posts he made. I definitely believe in failing to learn, it how my blog first got started. But the profit vs time definitely got me since, I am handling multiple projects and just keeping up with my steady campaigns or even creating multiple campaigns for testing.

As you know I have several products and some of them require a lot of time for support. There are days where my whole day is support and I do not even get to look at my stats, not good. Also, I have been partnering up with people and concentrating on services and projects does take up a lot of my time.

So I have decided to be a part time affiliate or seasonal affiliate. Affiliate marketing taught me a lot about marketing in general and gathering traffic. Which I have been using to leverage for my products and other products that will be booming out in the near future.

Though I will still be talking about affiliate marketing on this blog and any case studies I will be doing, but I will try to keep my blog up to date on what I am doing. Since this blog journals what I am currently doing on the internet. So this is a quick write up of what I am up to and that success comes with failures and risk that have to be taken up.

I have to deal with a bunch of support, talk to business partners, talk to affiliate managers, talk to google, manage my campaigns, manage time, manage task and prioritize. There is just too much to do in a little amount of time. I will see how this goes for me, I have told several of my friends about this and I think this will be the next jump for me.

I know personally this will be a big jump for me, but I will still be doing a lot of testing as marketing is all about testing and all about numbers.

My buddy Jonathan Volk is a busy guy as he is in the process of purchasing  house and going to get married so I want to know how he is handling all this work because I know I am having trouble managing time and efforts sometimes.

So I will still be doing minor affiliate stuff, just keeping up with what I have and ofcourse maintaining it. I will probably posts something tomorrow about how affiliate marketing taught me to grow and how to expand out. Something to think about when I write something this weekend or even tomorrow.

But sometimes I may not be able to leave the affiliate marketing industry...
