If you were at affiliate summit, I bet you had a bigger suite case when you were leaving Vegas. Well that is probably because you take all the schwag that is being handed out home. I personally learned that I don't need all that crap. I only go grab what I want. Any excess I just leave in the hotel room for the room service to take home if they wish.
Usually there are tshirts that I grab which I wouldn't dare wear on the streets of Jersey. So far the only tshirts I rocked out on my block is Convert2Media, Ad Hustler's custom design, and some others.
From the conference, company's or affiliate networks use tshirt to do a self promotion of their network or company via a user. Sometimes these shirts can be really dull and/or spammy or most likely corny. You probably seen me with another network tshirts when I do video, but guess what they stay in the house.
Today I approved affiliate.com's tshirt. This tshirt is def approved for the streets...
I just recently received Affiliate.com tshirt. After hearing so much talk about how their shirts was whats up at ASW, I check my bags to see if I gotten one. None. Interesting... I pinged my affiliate manager and told her the situation. She sent one over ASAP! Thanks Brittany!
Now I am not writing this to give props to my super AM or the goodness of the shirt. Affiliate.com is doing a contest with their shirts. They are going to be donating $1,000 to the American Red Cross Haiti Relief Fund. Now this is a good cause to just blog about wearing a shirt.
I rock most of the shirts in house or as undershirts. Some of them just screams the network name or is just too obnoxious. Affiliate.com did a good job on capturing the concept of Las Vegas and making it fit their network. Props to that. Before I even contacted Brittany about grabbing a shirt, I was hearing a lot of twitter talk about their shirts. So that means word of mouth branding is working for them as well.
Take a look at the design below... also check out the rules and regulations when doing your blog post about the affiliate.com t shirt. Remember they are going to send over $1000 to the American Red Cross Haiti Relief Fund in your name if you do get chosen.
Another plus is if you do get chosen to be the winner, you will also receive $1000! Now why not just take a picture with your shirt and win for a good cause, plus you have free play money to start doing some gangster affiliate marketing!
