There comes a time when you want to try new things and venture out. There comes a time when you want to try the other side of the affiliate marketing space. There comes a time when you do not want to be just have money, you want to be called "Pimp Baller Affiliate of Narnia". Maybe there comes a time where you want to just grow and try new ventures.
I know a lot of affiliates that have turned their affiliate business into something more. I know some of my friends turned to the network side, others to the advertiser side, and some even to just creating simple submit offers. A lot of affiliates that I know are expanding and growing. For me I have been doing a little bit of everything but the majority of my income has been always my affiliate promotions.
Recently I have formed a new company in the past month. It has been the outcome of Affiliate Summit and I have partnered up with 2 other online marketers. Also in the next month or so, another company will be formed as well. I have had some experience with products and services and I like the creation process and research part.
This is the reason why I loved affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing has so many parts to it, any publisher that does it long enough will understand the whole business model. There are so many parts, we can decide where we want to move up in the ladder. You can either learn to be the...
- Network Owner
- Advertiser
- Lead Gen (submit offers)
- Lead Gen (buy and sell)
- Ad Network
- Product Owner
- Offer Broker
There are a lot of aspects to affiliate marketing, publishers can branch out and scale their own business into something bigger. This is the reason why I love affiliate marketing. It literally teaches us how to monetize traffic and optimize it. We can market anything, the problem is some affiliates get too comfortable they forget how to 'walk'.
With so many options to expand our own business, affiliate marketing literally shows you the ins and outs of the business as a whole. When you think about it, affiliates are at the bottom of the marketing model. Knowing what can be at the top build curiosity and makes us want to reach it. It is really up to you if you want to do more and see your true potential.
It will require risks ofcourse because you are entering a space you know something about but not enough. Taking the step up the ladder puts you in a different type of industry and meeting a lot of different people. For me, I have met so many new people because they want to work with me, send traffic to them, or teach them how to run media traffic. So I was able to meet a lot of people on the affiliate ladder.
For example I got to understand a lot about the advertisers side because I worked directly with them and the relationship formed has helped learn what they do - the payment processing, call centers, etc. So there are a lot of aspects to learn.
The BIG question is are you up for it? Are you too comfortable where you at, you do not want to take anymore risks? Do you want to know how you compare to other entrepreneurs out there? Don't you want to see your full potential?
Affiliate marketing is a great way to earn money online, now are you ready to grow?
