As I am getting into organic stuff more and starting to create my virtual real estate, I thought I would share some pretty cool things. First of all, as you know I am not an SEO ninja of any sort. I hired someone to handle all my organic strategies and rankings and so far I have been impressed. I made sure they knew I wanted virtual properties. This meant that I don't want to get blacklisted by Google. He came up with a strategy and provided it to me.
I simple shook my head and smiled. He implemented it and so far it looks like it has been working. Below is a result from position 91 to 47 in 2 days.
This is for 1 keyword on a niche site I had and which I used before for paid traffic in the past. As you can see there are 3 results from Google, Yahoo, and Bing. While Google took a BIG jump, 91 to 47. I think that graph looks sexy. Anyways, I know some people tell me that there is going to be a Google dance and I been to conferences with stats where the rankings are a bit shaky in the beginning before the steadies out.
Below is how you will see how much it has improved.
Currently the past 7 days before 2/12/2012 I have had 336 visits on natural search. Meaning I am already getting ranked naturally... for the site as a whole, not the keyword I am wanting to rank for. So I am curious to see where I am at 7 days after all the ranking strategies has been implemented. I know it will take time to strategically rank and stay at the top. I believe I have a great person handling my SEO stuff since I am no expert on this wait and rank stuff.
I am extremely excited about how things are looking and seeing some results. I am going to be doing some other things as well such as...
- Growing my eMail list for the niche/vertical the blogs are concentrating in
- Monetizing the content more via affiliate marketing
- Becoming a more authoritative blog in the vertical/niche
- Sell banner space
- Create an eBook and create a community
As how this blog (IanFernando.com) has grown because of my own interests and dedication, I will let do the same for the others. The only exception is I won't have as much love for the verticals, which is why I have a team that will be doing the care for it. I will put my strategies and skills with it the organic tediousness, I do not care for.
I am definitely looking forward to what my SEO person can do and the rest of my team can do. SEO is a lov hate relationship since I do hate doing it, but I will love it once it continuously provides income over the years with little maintenance. I will provide continuous update on the progress of my SEO sites and the tools I have used. As you can see I am using a pretty neat tool to track my rankings.
