Summer Time! Does it Mean Slow Blog Posts?

By Ian Fernando

So it is finally June and the weather here in NJ is looking nicer and nicer by the day. What does this mean? It may mean that I may not be posting a lot during the summer because of yard work, beach time, jogging outdoors, workouts, etc. So what is the majority of the blogosphere doing on days or seasons that are just super nice and do not want to do any work?

I will still post, especially if I am working on a project or doing something that will be beneficial to my readers and the internet. I mean I get emails sometimes about how much I am writing and how I have a lot of content. But I do not post on the weekend, its my time to catch up on other projects and catch up on life stuff as well. Now that the summer is coming up, I may even slow down on a lot of other projects so I can get a little darker and enjoy the sun.

But I do not think I will be losing my touch in posting, I may have pre written post with time stamps so it may seem I am writing everyday. Or I might actually slow down, but have my post ideas in the draft section of WordPress. As more and more nicer days come a long, I may want to go ahead and be out more - but does this degrade me as a blogger since I am not consistent in posting?

What happens to the blogosphere when good weather or season come a long, do you notice your favorite blogger slowing down in posts? Maybe even quality becomes 'ehhh'? Last year, I blogged through out the summer but I do not recall posting everyday. I only posted I believe (man I have to go back to look at my posts I think) when I was actually doing something productive that day. So I do not believe it was something everyday.

Do you as bloggers or writers slow down your content writing? Do you try to provide the content to your readers on a daily basis? If you do write on a daily basis? This will be a good test for me and see if I stop writing for a couple days or if I write maybe 4 or maybe 3 out of the 7 days. It may give new users a chance to catch up on previous posts I have written or help others navigate through the blog more fluidly.

It is summer time bloggers (depending where you are), how are you going to coop with the nice weather and providing readers your content and advice? I may be slowing down but my content will still be the same and base on what I am currently doing. Oh! maybe even some personal pictures from the beach or whatever I am currently doing.
